Couldn't be Happier

5 of 5
This is a very comfortable space in a wonderful and quiet part of Kino Nuevo. It is new and very well decorated, with all the amenities. It was spotless. The owners were very pleasant to deal with and made us feel welcomed. There are two great restaurants within walking distance, or the kitchen is fully equipped if you would rather cook. It's not right on the beach, but right across the street and it has a great ocean view through a wide access. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

Great Place to stay!!!

We take a week vacation at Casa Sol y Mar. The personal at El Seri management was really helpful and very friendly they give us many tips making our vacation really nice. The house is great with a beautiful view of the sea and very quiet and relaxing. Luis Serna Goodyear, AZ.

casita sophia kino bay

Cute 2br house right on the beach about 1 km from the end of the paved road. Comfortable for 4 people if they like each other. Not luxurious, but OK for me since I had dogs with me. Nice neighbors, quiet except for the booming surf. Felt safe with the iron fence surrounding the property. Local Mexicans were very friendly. 5 mile long white sand beach nice but lots of trash on weekends when the "rich" Mexicans came to the beach. Kino needs a cleanup program to remind them what a beautiful place they have. Fabulous sunsets. Good food, fresh fish, shrimp, fresh bread and tortillas and enough shopping to get the basics in Old Kino. For the first 3 days we had a bad propane gas leak and the prop mgr was out of town so did not get it looked at until they returned when it was fixed. So we had cold water showers. The house does not have heat except for space heaters and it was very cold inside. It was in winter so not hot outside and the sea was cold. It also could have been cleaner. There was virtually no storage space, closets filled with linens and someone's clothing and no dressers etc. Someone needs to go thru it and remove extraneous "stuff" including knick knacks which were everywhere. House needs internet and TV that is not all 24 hr news and shopping channels. Fireplace did not work; that would have helped heat the place and really cheer it up at night. Not much to do as far as night life or even much to do except enjoy the beach. Easy access to San Carlos and Hermosillo. Not a bad drive from Tucson, except for the border crossing. NOT a fancy resort town.
