My boyfriend and I stayed at this cabin last weekend to celebrate our anniversary and Valentine's Day. The road to get there was very nice, but I'm sure with snow is a bit tricky. The house was wonderful! The kitchen is very modern and nice. It was missing a few staple things like sugar which meant we had to run back to the store after just leaving. The living room and bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. We loved the fireplace and the hot tub, and the view was great! We did have a few issues, although minor. Our intentions for the weekend were to stay in, cook, and relax. So we were very disappointed when the cable offered only carried about 20 channels, most of which very strange or just local broadcasts of high school games. They didn't have any of the traditional channels offered with standard cable. We were pleasantly surprised to at least find one movie on tv that we recognized. They had about 7 movies there to play but nothing that the two of us could agree on or enjoy watching. Also, the directions for the hot tub aren't exactly clear for people who have never used a hot tub before. It told us to put a spoonful of a chemical into a filter after we were done using it for the day, but it never specified where the filter was. We just had to guess and pray that we weren't going to ruin the whole thing. Additionally, and this is no fault of the owners, but the carbon monoxide alarm batteries were dying during our stay, thus resulting in horrendous/mysterious beeping every several hours or so. We had to do a lot of looking around to find the source of the beeping, and then research to realize that it wasn't going off that it was simply dying batteries. It was definitely anxiety-provoking for me, so I would recommend checking the batteries before having guests there.
Overall we had a really wonderful time at this cabin. Just a few changes and it would have been 100%! We will definitely be back though, it was great.
