Absolutely Perfect in so MANY Ways

5 of 5
We just spent 4 fantastic nights on Serenity Mountain & everything about it exceeded our expectations. While the photos of the home & property are stunning- it is so much better in real life. It was the cleanest, coziest, well-stocked cabin we've ever stayed in. We loved the grounds, the porch with the amazing outside furniture-with the leaves changing, we spent lots of time on the porch. All the bedrooms were comfy. All 3 bathrooms were over-the-top with large showers & big, fluffy towels. The main den area was perfect for our late night talks, movies, games. The kitchen was stocked as good as my own with amazing appliances. Although we did bring our own paper plates/cups/utensils/paper towels/toilet paper - there was no need to-it had EVERYTHING. We even found some birdseed that we filled the feeders up with & really enjoyed all the birds. We ventured to downtown Waynesville(great shops/restaurants), MaggieValley, Sylva, Dillsboro(great shops/train), & Cataloochee to see the elk. We enjoyed meals in, as well as at Bogarts, Ammons Drive Inn, The Blue Rooster, Bourbon Barrel - and there are many more we will try next time. We visited Barbers Orchard twice & got some delish apple cake/turnovers/apple cider donuts/tomatoes. I plan to book this property again. Diana checked in on us & she is truly gracious to open her beautiful home to travelers. Not sure I would trust such an amazing home to strangers. We were there for my parent's 50th anniversary (along with a couple of my aunts & uncles) & we left with memories for a lifetime.

Couldnt have asked for better!!

5 of 5
My husband and I have been married for 18yrs, and this was our first, so-called, honeymoon. We were so very glad that we chose this home for our vacation. It was extremely cozy, the master suite and master bath was awesome, and the kitchen I fell in love with. Needless to say, I now have to have a gas stove in my own home, and a new master bath!! Thank you so much Jeannine for allowing us to stay in your home. If we plan another vacation in the area, we truly hope to stay there again.

Perfect house for a large group

5 of 5
My extended family spent a week here to celebrate my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. There were 13 of us and the house could not have been better! Thad was very accomodating and welcoming. Any questions we had, he answered right away. There are plenty of spaces to be together but also areas to be apart if you need some quiet time. The view is gorgeous and so peaceful. On the top level, there is a large great room with 2 dining areas which were plenty large enough for the 13 of us to eat together and even converse back and forth between the 2 tables when needed. The master suite is large and beautiful. We used the study as a room for the 2 little ones. It has a sofa bed which the 4 year old slept on and the 2 year old slept in her portacrib. Across the hall from the study is a bedroom with a king sized bed and a bathroom. The master is also on this level. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. We cooked almost every meal and appreciated the great kitchen. That would be the only drawback if you do not want to cook. The location is gorgeous but somewhat secluded and is a 20 - 30 minute drive from Waynesville. We all took turns cooking so it was not an issue for us. There is also a small kitchen downstairs with another full refrigerator, dishwasher, and 2 wine fridges. We were able to accommodate all of the food and drinks for 13 people in the available fridge space without any real issues. There is a large porch and a screened porch also on the main level which give you wonderful views of the mountains and the cows. The little ones especially enjoyed seeing all of the cows. We even had a double rainbow one afternoon! On the lower level, there are 3 more bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A large game room with a poker table and a pool table. The media room is very comfortable and we watched movies in there a couple of nights. Outside on the lower level are more covered porches, a gas grill, and a fire place with nice wooden chairs to pull up to the fireplace. In the garage was a pingpong table and above the garage is another bedroom and bathroom. We also had no difficulty in parking 5 cars and getting them in and out. We would definitely love to come and stay here again. It was a great location to spend time as a family.
