Enchanting Cottage

5 of 5
On arrival at this enchanting cottage, we felt like we had left the world behind. The view of the surrounding mountains is breath-taking. The front large covered porch is so inviting. The large comfy rocking chairs and swing beckons you to sit and forget the stress you left behind. Entering the cottage you are welcomed with a clean fresh inviting smell as well as the little things that make a cabin comfortable; ice trays already filled and frozen, coffee, coffee filters, paper towels, quality toilet paper, hand towels for those little accidents, wash clothes for removing makeup, extra everything you would need. It is very clear that Carl & Amy have thought of everything. The beds are very comfortable and clean! We had a wonderful time at this cottage. It rained most of our stay (we were very happy because we love the rain) the sound of the rain hitting the tin roof was amazing. Best night's sleep I have had in ages. I can't say enough about the lovely cottage or the owners! Also, if you have ever thought about Knitting, don't miss the Knitting classes Amy offers at the Knitting shop. My 19 yr. old daughter took a class while we were staying at the cottage and has been Knitting ever since. I would recommend this cabin for everyone. We have already planned another visit for October 2014!

My daughter and I stayed at this doll house for a one night getaway. We were in awe of this little French country cottage! The grounds were spacious and beautiful from the travertine tiled gazebo, stone pizza oven, beautiful gardens down to the blueberry field out the back door where we picked ample amounts of blueberries for our breakfast. The cottage was clean and so cozy. We enjoyed the front porch by candlelight, listening to the birds and watching fireflies. Saluda is a great small town with great local food in the family owned businesses. Some recommendations are The Purple Onion restaurant, Random Arts studio, and a short drive to hiking trails and waterfalls in flat rock. Susan's place was dog friendly and inviting. The photos don't do it justice. Will definitely be visiting again!
