Enchanting Cottage

5 of 5
On arrival at this enchanting cottage, we felt like we had left the world behind. The view of the surrounding mountains is breath-taking. The front large covered porch is so inviting. The large comfy rocking chairs and swing beckons you to sit and forget the stress you left behind. Entering the cottage you are welcomed with a clean fresh inviting smell as well as the little things that make a cabin comfortable; ice trays already filled and frozen, coffee, coffee filters, paper towels, quality toilet paper, hand towels for those little accidents, wash clothes for removing makeup, extra everything you would need. It is very clear that Carl & Amy have thought of everything. The beds are very comfortable and clean! We had a wonderful time at this cottage. It rained most of our stay (we were very happy because we love the rain) the sound of the rain hitting the tin roof was amazing. Best night's sleep I have had in ages. I can't say enough about the lovely cottage or the owners! Also, if you have ever thought about Knitting, don't miss the Knitting classes Amy offers at the Knitting shop. My 19 yr. old daughter took a class while we were staying at the cottage and has been Knitting ever since. I would recommend this cabin for everyone. We have already planned another visit for October 2014!

Fantastic Retreat

5 of 5
This home was a fantastic home with space and luxury in an atmosphere that was peaceful and comfortable. We spent our Thanksgiving here with my husbands family and we had multiple families in the home and it accommodated all of us with space and places to retreat if we needed it. The game room has a pool table off of the 2nd kitchen in the lower level along with a huge bedroom with a full bath off of that room. This was great for our family with little ones so they could get up early and have breakfast down there and not wake anyone else up upstairs. The porches overlook the valley and have a running brook and pond right under it….must be amazing in the spring and summer to sit out there and read and relax. There are large tables to have full dinners and gaming nights and be able to fit everyone. The fireplace is double sided and is so soothing and warm. This home gleams and had so many oohhhs and ahhhs when everyone walked in. We were so lucky to have found a home that was close to the Flat Rock Playhouse for a member who was performing there to be able to stay with us and visit. The trails are fantastic and you are close to Hendersonville and also Chimney Rock from here as well. We had a great time and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a retreat that is true luxury. Thank you Lynn!
