We spent the last week of June 2014 in this charming townhouse in Nantucket on Bayside. It is a family beach home that has been kept lovingly over the years. It has 3 floors, with the master suite on the top floor, middle floor with queen bedroom, full kitchen, living and dining rooms overlooking the bay. My college aged daughter stayed on this floor. The bottom floor has a kitchenette, den, bedroom and bathroom and is similar to an in-law suite. This was a great for our eldest daughter, son-in-law and our 5 year old grandson to have their own special space. There are decks off of each floor. It was equipped with everything we needed.
In the evenings, we occasionally went down to the pier and watched the crabbers. Our daughters and grandson enjoyed wading out into the bay which is fairly shallow within 300 feet of the shore. We prefer Duck to the other villages, it is centrally located; close to the northern sites (Currituck Light and Village and also closer than the Whalehead area for excursions some of the southern sites (Hatteras and Okracoke Island). We ladies enjoyed browsing the many shops, the freshly made coffee and doughnuts while the men walked down to the ocean to spend the afternoon. All in all, it was a lovely, relaxing and peaceful week.
