Little red awesomeness!

5 of 5
This cute cabin is beautifully situated on a gentle slope overlooking a working farm. Each morning you can wake up and enjoy your coffee watching the resident bunny rabbits explore the edge of the forest. The cabin is well stocked and a designer's touch is evident in everything from the floorplan to the decor. Our two preschoolers loved the games and books as well as the fire pit for the smores. A perfect little cabin indeed. The owner is easily accessible and is eagar to ensure everything is perfect for your stay. I'm certainly going to stay again in the near future.

Delightful!

5 of 5
What a wonderful place to stay! We needed a place nearby Bakersville to visit my brother's family for the holidays. My parents, my son and I stayed very comfortably in this house, including sharing the large bathroom! The cottage is decorated so beautifully and everything we needed was there. Some of the nicest touches were that basics such as toilet paper, paper towels, clean towels, hand soap and dish soap were there when we arrived after dark on 12/30. My dad is quite the chef and he found everything he could want or need in the great kitchen. The fabulous dining room table allowed 5 adults and 2 kids to have great family meals! The outside is just wonderful even in December. The deck over the creek/waterfall was my 5 year old son's favorite - as we loaded the car to leave he went back "to say goodbye to the waterfall". Lots of yard/running around space for kids and we'd definitely come back when the weather is nicer for outside time! Thanks so much for making our family holiday time comfortable and fun!

Wonderful!

5 of 5
It's not uncommon to feel some anxiety toward staying in another's house for your vacation, not knowing what to expect and whether or not you will be completely satisfied, but worry not. Janis' cottage was wonderful, just like Janis herself. A true Southern lady with spunk and class! Not only did we find a nice place to return to next time we're in AVL, but found someone we could easily become friends with as well. And you couldn't ask for a swifter return of your deposit. It almost beat us back home! We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving week vacation. Now, where is that cork screw?!!
