Wonderful cabin for exploring the area and relaxing!

4 of 5
We had a lovely family reunion here with 4 couples and one niece. There is only one other cabin nearby which is only faintly visible through the trees. The house felt very private, yet was also conveniently located . We had ample room for gathering together (and also for privacy, when wanted). The house is nicely supplied for guests, even including sample size extra toiletries in case you might have forgotten something (which one of us did). We did not have any small children in our group, but I did notice that there is a baby gate for protecting toddlers from the top of the stairwell! The best feature: a terrific porch overlooking the woods, with plenty of furniture and tables and a pleasant mountain view. It was so restful to sit on the porch and read or chat while feeling pleasant breezes and listening to the sounds of nature! We saw a lovely sunset over the mountains from the porch one evening and enjoyed seeing the mist in the mountains in the morning. The weather was terrific while we were here, and we had such a great time playing games, doing puzzles, just visiting and catching up with each other, and enjoying some activities in the area! We enjoyed a dinner at Lucio’s Italian restaurant one evening, loved browsing antiques at Nestfeather’s downtown and the antiques mall at Whistlestop, had some lovely drives to Wayah Bald overlook and to Highlands, along with visits to Dry Falls, where you can take a short trail and actually go behind the waterfall, Bridal Veil Falls (right at the roadside) and Cullasaja Falls (viewed in the distance from a roadside pull-off ) on the way to Highlands, where we had ice cream at Kilwin’s Chocolate and Ice Cream. The only somewhat disappointing aspect of our stay at the cabin was that some of the lighter sleepers in our group could hear sounds from the bedrooms (talking, TV) of those staying up later in the common areas. Overall, however, the cabin was terrific and we all greatly enjoyed being together there!

Comfortable & Relaxing! And the pool!

5 of 5
Sea the Green is a great house to rent, no matter the size of your group. The home is very well maintained, with comfortable furniture, a fully-equipped kitchen, and linens provided. The main level is spacious and open, with views all the way to the ocean. The pool is fantastic for lap swimming or just relaxing. The home is in a great location with quick access to Harris Teeter grocery store and other shops and restaurants. No need to drive all the way to busy Kill Devil Hills or Nags Head from here! The Currituck club is beautiful and has miles of jogging paths flanking the golf course and homes. Bruce (owner) is very responsive and a pleasure to do business with. We highly recommend Sea the Green.

Excellent location!!

4 of 5
The house was as advertised. We were not disappointed! This was the first house we have rented with an elevator. It made unloading the cars great! No carrying heavy suitcases and bags of food up many flights of stairs. The ice-maker was another plus! I don't know how we got along without one before. Larry called to check on us the day after we arrived. Found out we had fellow Buckeyes staying next door. We chatted with them and they showed us how to find sharks teeth. The kids and the big kids (adults) spent hours finding some pretty awesome shark teeth. The dolphins came by a couple times a day and one day the played right outside our house for 15 minutes, riding the waves and jumping. This has been our best vacation ever and we have been coming to the coast for 20 years! Thanks Larry!! I will overlook the fact that the hokies beat the buckeyes this one time, since you were gracious enough to allow to live in your home!
