AWESOME PLACE TO STAY!!!

5 of 5
This was our first time to Emerald Isle and the first time our three families came together with Grandma to go on vacation, we all had so much fun! What a wonderful place to stay!! It was beautiful and so clean!!! It has all the comforts of home and more. There was plenty of room for our large group to spread out or all be together. It was great to have a well supplied kitchen and a nice grill to make our own meals, we only went out for dinner one time during our week stay. We loved being right there on the beach, sitting on the decks and seeing the beautiful ocean, watching the birds fly by and we even saw the dolphins playing a few times. The beach was great and was not crowded! It was nice to be within walking distance of the pier, and there was no charge to walk out onto it! We walked to Captain Willis to purchase fresh seafood, very good! We also enjoyed shopping at Emerald Isle Plantation Shopping Center, one of our favorite shops was Carteret Country Store. Nice things to buy, and it was very affordable! One day, part of our group went to the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and the other part of our group took a ferry to Shackleford Island, both places were enjoyed! I cannot say enough about how great Terry's home is and how wonderful she is to work with! She always got right back to me with answers to any questions I had and was always so pleasant and genuinely excited for us to be going on vacation. She was so helpful when I told her my brother in law has back problems and may need a massage while we were there. She contacted someone she knew at Emerald Isle and got a recommendation for Blessed Body Day Spa, 5 miles away. He went and saw Ashley. He said she did such a good job, it was going to be hard to go back to the person he gets a massage from at home. Thank you Terry for sharing your home with us!!!

Highly impressed

5 of 5
When I booked this cabin I just searched for the town. With great surprise it was right in the heart of town and minutes from lots of dining and shopping. The house itself was beautiful and the outside even more breathtaking with the running stream and fire pit beside it. I would definitely stay here again

Quaint Cottage with Everything

5 of 5
We met another couple from Pittsburgh in Asheville and were very pleasantly surprised with our accommodations at Janis's cottage. The front yard has so many cute features and a nice table and chairs (and shade umbrella) for eating, having a glass of wine or simply relaxing. Inside, we loved the the decor and the thoroughness of preparation. All we needed to add was food : ) Having washer/dryer access was unexpected but appreciated. Kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, utensils, etc., microwave, dishwasher - all the comforts of home. We had asked Janis of she had a fire pit prior to arriving and she had one completely ready to use - just light and enjoy. She also had so many recommendations, brochures, etc., so we could enjoy Asheville all the more. Should our travels take us back to (or near) Asheville again, we wouldn't even look for another place. So convenient yet so quiet. Wonderful stay!
