Perfect for our family!

5 of 5
Great house with a wonderful backyard. We had a mini family reunion when my siblings and I came to Raleigh for a charity event. Lazy mornings drinking coffee on the patio reminiscing about our childhood was very special. We loved the house. Well equipped and furnished. It was perfect for our family. Thank you!

Great host, great home and excellent location!!

5 of 5
A classmate and I stayed with James for just over 6 weeks before we both returned to Ireland. The location of the property is fantastic - there is a shopping center just steps away and downtown is only a 5 min cab ride - you could walk it after a night if you wanted to, but cabs are very inexpensive so I would recommend taking one. The Village Draft house is just moments away, serving excellent food and a host of both local and non-local craft beers at reasonable prices, and there is a wide range of further stores to eat located conveniently across the street. In terms of the house itself - We took the sofa bed in the office, along with the second double bedroom and shared a bathroom between the two of us. The house itself is very homey. It is well laid out, well maintained and with had no difficulties living here. The house was constantly clean, and the upkeep of the garden was also regularly done. There is a large deck to the rear of the house, and it is perfect for sitting out at night to just chill and kick things back, with an equally comfortable breezeway if you prefer to stay indoors. James provided us with linen for the duration of our time here, and so that was one less thing which we had to worry about. For what you get staying here, it is excellent value for money. Between the location, impeccable accommodation and the easy going nature of the host I could not vouch for this place more. Whether your doing your own thing and have your own agenda, or wish to simply chill around and hang out in the evenings this house will work for you. Raleigh really is on your doorstep here, and provides a perfect base for you to explore both the city and surrounding areas and i would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

PERFECT!!!

5 of 5
My husband and I needed a much deserved get away for a few days. Both of our parents are in poor health and we just needed a break. Dawn and Jake the owners are super friendly. There are just not enough words to say how relaxing and beautiful their cabin and the surroundings are. We just loved sitting on the porch, rocking in the chairs, and just looking out across the pond. Each morning we fed the fish and enjoyed all the wildlife. We just loved all the farm animals and especially fell in love with Lu Lu. It was awesome having fresh eggs for breakfast. Thank you Dawn and Jake for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. We will be back.
