THE BREAKERS A35 GETS A A+ !!

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at The Breakers A35 was wonderful. The condo was just as pictured, except the views were even better! It was immaculate & appointed with quality furnishings & comfy beds. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We loved sitting on the deck and hearing the waves, feeling the delightful ocean breezes. Sadly one of the outdoor chairs as well as the chaise lounge were badly broken, so our family was unable to eat outside together, but it wasn't a big deal. The grounds and buildings are well kept. It was nice to have an enclosed storage area for our bikes and beach gear. The pool is large with sunny and shady areas & its own restrooms. We did not use the facilities at Beacons Reach, basketball & tennis courts & more pools. These are within easy walking distance of the condo and appear very nice. We enjoyed a bit of excitement as hurricane Arthur came roaring through while we were there! It made for an exciting evening but by the next morning, the seas were again calm the sky was sunny! Just before the storm someone from the management company came to secure the outdoor furniture & remove the broken chairs. They were friendly and helpful. Canon & Gruber was great, the whole process was easy and our condo ready on time when we arrived. Our favorite activity in EI is the ferry to Shackleford Banks. We collected some amazing shells, played in the water, saw dolphins swimming alongside the ferry and got many great close up pictures of the wild ponies living there. Two fabulous restaurants are Floyd's 1921 in Morehead City and Riverview Steak and Seafood in Swansboro. Both boast outstanding service, and generous portions of delicious and creative foods! We love Emerald Isle and hope to purchase a second home there someday. Until then, we plan to enjoy A35 again!

GREAT LOCATION BUT NEEDS SOME UPDATES

4 of 5
Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to this area for my whole life. We had to leave early due to hurricane Arthur, but enjoyed our short stay. The property could use some updates. It has the same furniture and decor as when I was still in high school! The rooms were not as clean as I would've liked and the master bathroom was extremely dirty. For the price, and looking at other condos in the complex, I would have to say it needs some attention. We would still come stay here if we couldn't find an upgrade...the view is amazing and pool and beach are always a hit with the kids!

LITERALLY HOME AWAY FROM HOME

5 of 5
We just completed our stay, and thoroughly enjoyed it! When we entered the main living room and saw the spacious vaulted ceiling, dining room, bar, and kitchen, we knew we were at home. This property excels in many areas that we take for granted at home, but sometimes have issues with when we rent a beach house. - Ample space. CHECK. : We didn't have to get creative on where to hide our luggage and stuff. There was a walk-in closet in the master, and every room had space for stuff and people. - Pest control. CHECK: Thank goodness we didn't have pests like ants and roaches to deal with in this property! Only humans here! - A/C. Check: The A/C worked well! We like it cool, but we actually got to say "It's too cold in here. Can someone turn off the A/C?" A first for a beach vacation. - Electronics. CHECK: Each room had a flat screen TV. The big family room had a stereo with ceiling mounted speakers. And the wi-fi worked and was acceptably fast enough even for 6 kids and 6 adults. - Amenities. CHECK. Because this property is part of a larger community, there are several pools and tennis courts nearby within walking distance. - Beach sound and view. CHECK. Even though this house sits back in between two others, you can see and hear the beach from the deck. Also the canopy of shrubs and trees under which the winding deck sidewalk meanders to get to the ocean provides for a nice pleasant walk. Almost like a little rain forest. While we normally prefer to walk directly from deck to sand, this was OK because the little walk to the beach was done well, and was mostly shaded by the foliage. - Location. CHECK. Just minutes from A Food Lion, Town of Atlantic Beach, Morehead City, and Beaufort. - The Details. CHECK: Every time we thought "Wouldn't it be nice if..." and there it was. Beach chairs. A new deck near the beach. A water hose on the walkway to the beach. A gas grill. Foosball. A card table. Games. Books. Washer/dryer. Three refrigerators. Even a little Keurig in one of the master bedrooms. And that's not all: This place has an elevator, which is essential for moving in and out. I could go on, but they only allow me so many characters in this review. We will be back!! The Dillards Cary, NC
