LITERALLY HOME AWAY FROM HOME

5 of 5
We just completed our stay, and thoroughly enjoyed it! When we entered the main living room and saw the spacious vaulted ceiling, dining room, bar, and kitchen, we knew we were at home. This property excels in many areas that we take for granted at home, but sometimes have issues with when we rent a beach house. - Ample space. CHECK. : We didn't have to get creative on where to hide our luggage and stuff. There was a walk-in closet in the master, and every room had space for stuff and people. - Pest control. CHECK: Thank goodness we didn't have pests like ants and roaches to deal with in this property! Only humans here! - A/C. Check: The A/C worked well! We like it cool, but we actually got to say "It's too cold in here. Can someone turn off the A/C?" A first for a beach vacation. - Electronics. CHECK: Each room had a flat screen TV. The big family room had a stereo with ceiling mounted speakers. And the wi-fi worked and was acceptably fast enough even for 6 kids and 6 adults. - Amenities. CHECK. Because this property is part of a larger community, there are several pools and tennis courts nearby within walking distance. - Beach sound and view. CHECK. Even though this house sits back in between two others, you can see and hear the beach from the deck. Also the canopy of shrubs and trees under which the winding deck sidewalk meanders to get to the ocean provides for a nice pleasant walk. Almost like a little rain forest. While we normally prefer to walk directly from deck to sand, this was OK because the little walk to the beach was done well, and was mostly shaded by the foliage. - Location. CHECK. Just minutes from A Food Lion, Town of Atlantic Beach, Morehead City, and Beaufort. - The Details. CHECK: Every time we thought "Wouldn't it be nice if..." and there it was. Beach chairs. A new deck near the beach. A water hose on the walkway to the beach. A gas grill. Foosball. A card table. Games. Books. Washer/dryer. Three refrigerators. Even a little Keurig in one of the master bedrooms. And that's not all: This place has an elevator, which is essential for moving in and out. I could go on, but they only allow me so many characters in this review. We will be back!! The Dillards Cary, NC

EXCELLENT HOUSE, PERFECT LOCATION

5 of 5
This property was exactly what we wanted for our week at the beach. The location of the town house, in my opinion, is in the best possible area on the island. No really close public access, no campers/mobile homes around, limited residents (no high rises or row upon row of homes). It was quiet and family friendly. Across the main road is an amazing area for walking. It is very peaceful and serene back in the neighborhood. The beach access is fantastic. Out the beach room door (or the master bedroom, we used the beach room), down the boardwalk right onto sand. The pool was equally as convenient. The stretch of beach out front was not crowded. Even if every resident were on the beach at once, it wouldn't be bad at all. The house itself was perfectly clean and nicely stocked. The kitchen is a galley style, so narrow...kind of a one butt kitchen. But the appliances are nice and everything you need is there. We cooked all meals but 2 and had no trouble at all. We had 3 boys ages 10, 13, & 15 with us. It was so nice that they could each have their own room. Plenty of space to spread out to relax. The AC worked well, and the ceiling fan in the dining area was nice. Many TVs in the house and 3 DVD players. We didn't really watch TV much, but had we gotten a lot of rain, we might have. It was nice to have them, though. The boys could each watch whatever they wanted all at the same time...that was a treat! The wifi was excellent. No problem with connection or speed. Washer and dryer on the entry level were used daily. Janice was a delight to work with for securing the rental, answering my endless questions...everything. We have rented many homes through agencies and VRBO and Janice was one of the best owners we have dealt with. Just a really nice person who cares about her rental property and the comfort of her renters. Without hesitation we recommend this rental property. Older folks or people with bad knees, poor health, etc may want to find something else as there are lots of stairs in this home....but we enjoyed seeing the ocean from our bedroom and from the family room...so we didn't care one bit about the stairs. Just something for renters to be aware of. Also, I think if you had toddlers or crawling babes you might want to bring baby gates. Lots of opportunity for falls. But the bedrooms are plenty big for a pack n play and the house is otherwise pretty kid friendly. Thanks, Janice & Jack! We had a great week!

FANTASTIC FAMILY VACATION

5 of 5
We had a fantastic stay for our family vacation. The house was exactly as described and more. The owner provided way more than expected, all the comforts needed for a great beach vacation. Plenty of towels, beach equipment, books, pool toys, children's toys, stroller, kitchen utentensils, diaper genie, changing table, you name it! The pools and tennis courts are a short walk away. The neighborhood is beautiful and the house is very private and peaceful. The owner was very nice and even set up baby items in one of the rooms before we arrived. Thanks for a great stay.
