Big family paradise

5 of 5
First time VBRO user and it paid off. This large mountain home was in an amazing spot in Black Mtn but only 30 mins from waterfall hiking, Lake Lure and Lookout Mtn, and Biltmore. The home was in fantastic shape, clean and filled with all the amenities you can imagine. Our group ranged from grandma, to mom and dad, 5 kids and a newborn and small dog. The home has a fantastic game room, a hot tub and the entrance to the neighborhood is gated for a secure feeling. We cooked out on the grill a couple times and had wonderful family dinners at the large table. We were even able to have family pictures taken recommended by the owner and KateWalters Photography did a fabulous job. Book this home .... You will love the peace and quiet, oh we did see bears as well, mama and three Cubs.

This property is awesome; such a treasure.

This property is everything it is represented to be and so much more. We arrived from Florida, Ohio, DC, Chapel Hill and Germany to a warm and inviting Lodge. The HunniHome Lodge is equipped with everything you can think of to enjoy time in the mountains with family and friends. Whether it was enjoying a hot cup of coffee rocking on the back porch overlooking the mountains or sitting comfortably in front of the warm fireplace, this was a great setting to ring in the New Year. It is especially nice to have such easy access to local attractions like Asheville, NC (microbrew capital of the East) and Black Mountain where the people are so friendly. We were able to enjoy plenty of nice hiking including just walking the roads within the Preserve after dark. We saw deer and turkey and despite keeping an open eye, did not come across any bears. The accommodations were really nice for our group of 9 adults. There is plenty of flexibility for sleeping in the upstairs game room or by taking the twin mattresses into the cinema room. Every room is comfortably decorated leaving guests with a real feel for the mountains. The house is well supplied with puzzles, games and books if all you want to do is kick back and relax. The Lodge owners were so responsive to our needs. Always available to answer questions and make sure that our stay in their home was comfortable. We were fortunate to be able to spend a week in their home and to ring in the New Year in such a beautiful and relaxing setting. Thank you for sharing your little piece of serenity. New Years week stay

5 of 5
Our family of 7 had a great week in the mountains. The home was warm and comfortable with everything that we could have needed. We created many new memories with our children and had time to rest and unwind after a busy holiday season. We saw much of the Asheville area and even ventured to Gatlinburg Tn. We drove the Blue Ridge Parkway and took in it's beauty and even saw some snow fall. I would definitely recommend renting this cabin for any length of stay.
