Our family has had family reunions every two years for a number of years now and can certainly cast our vote for this location as the best. It suited our needs in every way. With seven families plus grandpa and grandma, we didn't even need to squeeze in - there was plenty of room for all. Judging from the on-line photos, I was initially concerned about having enough "meal-time" room, and a "everyone get together" room, but there was plenty of space for all of our activities.
We enjoyed the large interior rooms for getting together for evening games, songs, and "talent" shows. Other than running to the grocery store occasionally, we never had to leave the premises. Activities included fishing from the dock (not much luck but lots of fish stories), swimming, boating, water skiing and paddle boarding. We used the fenced back yard for outdoor games and some fun water sports.
We rented a boat for a couple of days and everyone really enjoyed the large 4-person tube provided at the house that could be pulled behind the boat. The smaller tubes were also used, more so off the dock for swimming and playing in the water. The beach area was a great hit for the younger children.
The kitchen area was fully stocked and enjoyed by the family chefs. Having two dishwashers was great! Plenty of room for the cooks to work and not feel crowded by the on-lookers/snackers.
We found everything we needed and would certainly recommend this location to friends/relatives. Mr. Sullivan was very responsive to questions and helping us get settled in.
As family members entered the house, their most common descriptive term was "wow".
We are thankful we were able to find this location for our reunion. We had people traveling from all parts of the U.S. Having an airport nearby was helpful.
Everyone is asking if we can return in 2016.
