Great view but missing some essentials

4 of 5
We rented this house for the weekend and it was very spacious, updated, and nice. The bottom floor is kind of like a basement with pool table, ping pong table, tv and living area. There is one bedroom with bunk beds and a bathroom. The second floor has all bedrooms on it. Only queen/full size beds. No king beds. Two bedrooms share a bathroom. The top floor is the living room, kitchen area. It has a very nice view of the ocean. You can hear the waves at night if the doors are open. The kitchen has a lot of cooking items, plates etc. My only complaints: You can hear people if they are on the top or bottom floor. The walls are not very thick. Also, they did not even supply salt and pepper! It would be nice to have some of the essentials in the kitchen like salt and pepper and maybe some spices! There was not any cleaning items to wipe down the counters with either. No toilet paper and no paper towels. It would of been nice to be informed prior to arriving that toilet paper is needed. We arrived at midnight and luckily, I had a roll in my purse only because I was sick and needed it for the car ride

Loved this pet friendly house!

5 of 5
We stayed at this rental from Sept 27th-Oct 4th. We had a total of 4 adults, two children (7 and 13) and two small dogs and had more than enough room! The house had true personality and plenty to keep you entertained or relaxed. In the evenings you can actually hear the waves, which is awesome. The house is only a short walk to the beach and close to enough activities to keep the kids busy. The kitchen was very well equipped, they even had a crock pot and decent knives. Brand new appliances. Towels and bed linens were included, we only had to bring beach towels and dish towels. They also had an outside storage room full of pool toys/floats, beach umbrellas, a beach cart, a few beach toys and 3 beach chairs (two were pretty small and pretty much on the ground, but worked fine for us), volleyball (the net was not set up so we didn't mess with it), basketball etc. Our dogs loved the huge fenced in back yard. Just a heads up for people bringing pets they do not want them on the furniture or in the beds and they are not allowed in the pool. Only a few minor things....I would recommend bringing a cheap shower caddy or something for the master bath room, there is no where to put your bar of soap and shampoo and stuff. Also the master shower was a little hard to figure out and it took forever for the water to get warm. Also in a couple of areas the rugs had a strong urine smell, but I kind of expected that with a pet friendly place. Nothing that would keep us from renting this place again!

LOVED THIS HOUSE!..

5 of 5
We absolutely loved this house and would definately stay in it again. We really appreciated all the homey and decorative touches; plus, it has all new applicances, comfortable beds, and a wonderful Nags Head Swing on the closed-in porch! The large family room is the perfect gathering place...the outdoor deck is quite roomy too...great for star watching and morning coffee. We even had a friendly seagull that came by every day...With kids, grandkids, and pets...it was the perfect house for us. The location is also just what we needed. With the popularity of the Outerbanks, South Nags Head is away from the crowds but it is close to the outlet stores, great restaurants, and groceries, etc. There are some condemed houses located approximately 10 oclock from the view facing the ocean. We know the history of the hurricane damage regarding these houses; the owner is supposed to either tear these houses down or completely rebuild by spring of 2015. Anyway, we love the house and how close it is to the newly refurbished beach, they really don't bother us. We look forward to returning again next year. On yes... the price is very reasonable!.
