Home Away From Home

5 of 5
Our stay at this lovely beach house was definitely a home away from home. The house has all the amenities of a home with a well stocked kitchen, games to play and decking that we were able to watch the sunrise on the beach and set on the sound. Our family loves the location as it is nestled between the National Sea Shore Park and the Sound-very relaxing! But still close enough to shopping, Jennettes Pier and restaurants. Two of our favorites are The Blue Moon and Tortugas. Hot tub was available but the weather was to chilly for this warm weather girl. Nelene-the owner was super sweet and we felt right at home. Will definitely plan another visit to "Seas the Day"

Fantastic vacation spot!

5 of 5
Nags Head Haven was the perfect house for our fall family vacation. South Nags Head is a great location, with grocery stores and outlets just a few minutes away. We enjoyed dinner at Owens Restaurant and had drinks at the Outer Banks Pier. The house is nicely decorated and makes it feel like a ‘home away from home’ vs a rental house. And it’s kid friendly and comes with a high chair and pack n’play. The bedrooms are spacious and mattresses were very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to produce wonderful meals. We liked the availability of the 2nd refrigerator on the first floor, near the front door, we were able to store extra drinks and food for the week. The keyless entry was a bonus; we didn’t have to worry about picking up and dropping off the keys at a rental office or worry about who had the keys. Everyone could come and go as they wished. It rained a couple of the days while we were there, so the cable and high speed internet were much appreciated. I had to work a couple of the days and enjoyed the desk area in our bedroom and quietness it offered while the rest of the family enjoyed the house or went out on an adventure. Even though we were there in the off-season, we enjoyed the beach too. Our girls took their sand toys and had a blast! The great room on the top floor offered amazing views of the ocean and Roanoke sound from inside and outside on the wrap around deck. We enjoyed the deck for morning coffee, a quick afternoon nap and the hot tub at night while watching the stars. Even with a house full, the layout is spacious and well organized. You can join everyone in activities or find yourself a quiet space to relax, like the hammock on the back deck. Even in the off-season there were plenty of activities for our girls. The Wright Brothers Museum, the Island Farm on Manteo, etc. Communicating with the owner was very simple through the Homeaway website and he was quick to respond and provide answers to all of our questions. We look forward to planning our next stay at Nags Head Haven!

Nice Place!

Very nice, clean, well maintained, spacious house. The owner was efficient and a pleasure to work with. We had a relatively small group for our off season visit and I think this would be a great place for a large group in the summer.
