Perfect beach front condo

5 of 5
I brought my family to the Outer Banks for the 1st time and we had a great time here. This unit was clean with a modern kitchen with dishwasher and a washer/dryer and large whirlpool tub in the master bedroom. Sliders open up to the beach front balcony from the living room and the master bedroom. The pools are nice. The ocean is literally <1 minute from the room. We stayed here during a hurricane and the staff was extremely caring and helpful during our stay. The hurricane didn't negatively affect our trip at all which is a testament to the staff. Overall the location is great, plenty of easy parking even for over sized vehicles which can be an issue at some places. This complex is family oriented which is what we were expecting, the furniture is basic beach house style, We didn't need to buy anything for our stay except food and beverages - silverware, plates, pots, pans, linens, towels, etc all were included. Our unit had a fireplace which we didn't use but might be nice on a cold night. I was concerned with the pier nearby and noise/lights from it but it wasn't an issue at all. Overall 5 stars, we all had a great time and nobody complained about anything (which is a vacation first when travelling with teenagers) We are looking forward to coming again next year.

The Best Ever

5 of 5
We have been vacationing in the Outer Banks for 30 years and this was the best place ever! It was beautifully decorated and had everything we could have needed for the week. The owners were gracious and the property managers were wonderful. It is a great location; we enjoyed both the beach and pool. It was even better than we expected! We definitely will return. I would advise others, however, to carefully check the travel insurance offered on this site. Hurricane Arthur drove us away two days early and, much to our surprise, the travel insurance we always purchase covered nothing--absolutely useless and a waste of money!!

Can't beat the location or the view

5 of 5
We have been vacationing in the Outer Banks for years and this was probably one of our favorite vacations. We have always rented through a real estate company but our last two experiences with them made us decide that we wanted to try something different this year, where the owner of the property was directly involved. When we checked in, everything was clean and well taken care of. We ran into an issue with our toilet the first few hours we were there and required a plumber. The couple who maintains the condo and the facility are wonderful. Friendly, helpful and always around. Such a great change from what we've been used to. Our issue with the toilet was taken care of immediately. Amy (owner) has been great from the day we made our reservation right up until we checked in. She also made the trip down to the condo mid-week to check on everything. In all the year we have vacationed in the Outer Banks (12+), that has never happened. Although it was a challenge, we also put the Duck Donuts gift certificate to good use ;) The condo is decorated beautifully and has new appliances. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The view is amazing. There is nothing better than waking up to catch the sunrise and seeing the dolphins playing in the morning. If you have the opportunity, Jeanette's Pier does not disappoint. We saw both a manta ray and a sea turtle off the pier, plus it offers a great view of South Nags Head. The beach was great, clean and lifeguards make the rounds. We will definitely be back next year. We loved everything about our stay.
