secluded cozy cabin

5 of 5
My husband and i visited this cozy cabin during winter for our anniversary and had a great time despite a few challenges with the icy roads. Val and Andy were helpful and checked on you for any needs. This cabin was spacious and had an eclectic but tasteful theme. Wish it had internet, but we visited the town of Marshall-5min.drive- and had free wifi at Zuma's coffee shop. We enjoyed the shops and restaurants in this quaint little town. The Flow shop even stayed open a few minutes late for us, and we picked up some nice hand-crafted items that were made by local artists. Also had some yummy soup at sweet monkey's restaurant. Everyone in town was so nice and friendly. The cabin had everything you needed and even offered a menu that had personalized catering brought to your door. We played in the snow and built a snowman and hiked a small trail on the property. It's private, but yet so close to town for any groceries that you might need. It's only a 15-20min. drive to the town of weaverville for any other shopping needs. We drove only 30min. to the nearest ski resort-wolfridge. Had a great time tubing. Also heard that at nearby town of hotsprings, they have relaxing baths for those days when you just need to unwind. We would recommend this cabin for a relaxing time spent together for a couple looking for some peace and quiet.

Beautiful Home

5 of 5
My wife and I recently stayed at Knollwood while attending a family reunion in Madison County, NC. The house in situated in a quiet wooded area only 2 miles on a paved off the the main highway. The house is immaculate and we were treated like royalty. We inadvertently left something in our room and the owners directly shipped it to us. We stayed in the Master suite while our son and daughter in-law stayed in one of the other bedrooms. Access to the main section of the house was ours and we thoroughly took advantage of it. I would highly recommend it to all who would seek a peaceful setting and comfortable surroundings. Will definitely be returning.
