Stunning House with gorgeous mountain views!

5 of 5
I have been up to this house a view times now, even though it is a recent listing. To make a long story short, the new owners of this beautiful house did not hold back AT ALL in preparing it for the summer rental market. The space is absolutely pristine and the furniture upgrades(as you can tell from the pics), make the house feel like a first class private retreat nestled high above the valley. The house has expansive mountain views and is a GREAT place for entertaining OR just escaping for a private getaway. Clearly, the most notable feature about the house is the main deck with gas fire pit which feels like it is perched amongst the trees, with an absolutely stunning view of Sheepback Mountain. You can also walk around to the back patio and get long range views clear across the valley. The house has a clean modern cabin feel in the main living room(which incidentally has cathedral ceilings, creating an open airy feel perfect for the mountains) and two fireplaces(one gas, one wood burning). It has very bright and airy feeling during the day and a "hunker-down" cozy feeling at night. Maggie Valley is an amazing place to take a vacation because there are so many options for entertainment. While the mountain house feels very private and quiet, it is easy to get to civilization in a matter of minutes. Waynesville, a beautiful little mountain town is an easy 20 minutes away--as is Cherokee--where you can enjoy a night of gambling or even some fantastic concerts. If you want to crank it up a notch, you can drive another 20 minutes and hit Asheville, which is now widely recognized as one of the best small towns in the country. Famous Breweries, countless world class eateries, and festivals make Asheville a cant-miss destination if you decide to rent the house. If you do make the trip to Asheville, make sure to take the time to visit the Biltmore Estate--you wont be disappointed. For those who like white water rafting/Kayaking, Bryson City is about 30 minutes West of the cabin, and was rated as the number 1 recreation mountain spot in the states by Outdoor Magazine. One note about the house is that the gravel road getting up does get a bit steep at times, and while we didn't have any problem getting up the mountain in a two-wheel front drive vehicle, it is something to be aware of. Other than that, rent this place and prepare for one of the best vacations ever!

Comfort and Peace!

5 of 5
We recently stayed at Overlook Falls, our second time at the cabin. The booking process was very straightforward and we got an email with detailed instructions for our visit. The cabin is easily accessible and the location is great - with the recent rains, the stream closeby was flowing in full and the view from our cabin was pretty and serene. The cabin as such is well furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. Overall, a great stay and we look forward to yet another visit. Truly, a home away from your home!

Comfort and convenience with a beautiful view

5 of 5
Fernbrook Treehouse had all we wanted and more! The icing on the cake was relaxing in the hot tub looking over the far side of Maggie Valley and cooking s'mores around the fire pit, but the cake itself was the comfort and delight of a country cabin that had everything you could think of. And beyond? Well we only managed to dip our toe in the water of things to do, but we visited Cherokee, the Cataloochee National Park and we even hiked with our 5-year old to the top of Waterrock Knob. We saw Elk in Cataloochee but we also saw an elk just down the road from Fernbrook in someone's yard! All in all we loved it and just like Breaking Bad, you have made addicts of us all. We shall be back!
