Wonderful family getaway!

5 of 5
What had started as an anniversary retreat for my wife and myself turned into a family event after we shared pictures of this cabin with favorite sisters. We ended up filling every bed - including 3 children - and having an amazing time. From coffee on the deck - the view is amazing - to hikes around the property we couldn't have been more comfortable. The cabin is fully outfitted with every convenience. We were even able to launder dirty clothes after hikes in the rain and mud. Shopping at the nearby Lowes Foods in N. Wilksboro created a full refrigerator resulting in great family meals. Being only 15 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway we had access to trails and parks more than we could manage during our weekend stay. In short, we had all of the conveniences of home while surrounded by the quiet of nature. The owners and property managers did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Even a late night call to answer a question (that was clearly covered in the notebook that we read too quickly on arrival) brought only gracious assistance. We later called at a reasonable hour to thank them for assistance and compliment them on a lovely home. A great time was had by all and we will definitely be looking to rent again. So much of the Blue Ridge Parkway still left to explore!
