Recent Lake Nantahala Reviews

exotic and luxurious

5 of 5
multi leveled, full of natural light, deer horns and bear carvings. A spacious kitchen, a jukebox, fireplaces, best sheets EVER, wraparound balconies, lots of stovetop burners for family cooking. Everything is exquisitely appointed: details, no expense spared. We were 11 adults and 4 children and it was never crowded, or too noisy: so many places to wander off to. The lake is expansive and worth renting jet skis to get around. Totally private. A bit 'isolated' and regular cellphones don't work there, but the house phone works. WiFi! My only caution is 'getting there': one way ,twisting, unpaved mountain road with steep drop offs. Don't drive at night!

Great Cabin

5 of 5
Me and my girlfriend recently visited this cabin over New Year's and loved it. The place looks new inside and out, and it has everything you need. This was our first mountain vacation and it was perfect. I definitely reccomend checking out Wayah Bald, the view is amazing. The driveway is exactly as described, but if you like using your four wheel drive, like me, its quite enjoyable. Overall no bad remarks, i would love to come back in the summer and be able to enjoy the lake.

Great vacation cabin!

5 of 5
My husband and I recently visited this cabin for our anniversary. We could not have been more pleased with our trip. The cabin is absolutely beautiful, inside and outside. The furnishings were extremely nice. There are numerous things to do at the cabin such as playing pool, relaxing in the jacuzzi, going out in the canoe, roasting marshmallows in the firepit, or just relaxing with a good book on the deck. This is by no means a typical cabin that you can rent. Our favorite place to be at the cabin was out on deck overlooking the lake and mountains. We were able to see 4 deer by the lake one morning, and then 3 deer in the driveway later that evening. The scenery is amazing! There is also lots to do in the area, such as whitewater rafting, horseback riding, and hiking. We can't wait to plan our next trip back. We have stayed in numerous cabins in the "Great Smokies", but none compare to this cabin! Serenity Cove is the perfect name for this place!
