LIFE IS A BEACH!!

5 of 5
Great layout for a large family. It was my second time staying there and loved every minute of it. Van Dan, Joe forgot to tell you that in the garage level bedroom, there is a leak in the light fixture. He got up there and looked and it seems to be coming from the upper bathroom. Have the property management company check it out. Thanks again for letting us stay. Michelle

Annual Get-a-way

5 of 5
I highly recommend this cozy beach home for your next trip to the Carolina Shore! We take our family of 6 to this home every year. Usually, we even bring another family with us. Being it has bedrooms with private baths on 2 separate levels, it suits 2 families very well. I would say that, with no kids, about 8 adults would be maximum, but I almost always go with the kids. I suppose, though, that it would also make for a great ladies only (or guys only) vacation. It's a house you'd be proud to stay at, no matter the crowd. Every time I open the door for the first time on arrival, I find that the house has been professionally cleaned. The owners are obviously great caretakers of their home. They even provide lists of local attractions with directions how to get there. There is a guest book that many people have signed, including myself, telling about what they did during their stay. I love: Waking up in the morning, taking my coffee to the balcony outside my room (or right off the kitchen), and catching a glimpse of the ocean; Spending the evening in, with the full-service kitchen, and relaxing in the large garden tub (the house is fairly new, so the fixtures are all in good shape and attractive); Taking out some of the board games from the cupboard and gathering around the table; Walking to the beach of course; Walking to the Pier; Walking to the soft-serve ice cream shop; Walking to one of several nearby restaurants; Being able to do my laundry before I pack up for home (Washer/Dryer on site); I can tell the owner have kids, because there are always baskets of toys for my kids to play with; Playing ball with the kids on the common area right across the private road, or even watching them play in that spot, as I read on the balcony overlooking the area (I feel very safe in this upscale neighborhood). Overall, this is an absolutely pleasant get-a-way. I recommend it to everyone I know, that may be headed to the beach. Look for one of my trip summaries in the guest book (Chris & Jen Olmstead)
