Beautiful House!

5 of 5
My mother (82), sister (56), her boyfriend (50) and I (59) rented this house for a week in early September. My nephew and his wife live nearby and we hoped they'd be able to take some time off their jobs and stay with us. I can't say we were surprised, the place is exactly how it appears in the photos except the furniture in living room has been replaced with reddish leather sofas. The sand is really just 10 steps down off the back porch. We arrived early but they had no problem with us checking in, got our key and the place was all ours. Beds were not made yet; the linen company had suffered a fire just the night before. But although it was late, they did get there that day and get linens on the beds. Property was well maintained, we even had a problem with the washing machine and it was handled very quickly. And we didn't have to stay home to await the repair person, bonus. There is absolutely nothing you could possibly need for kitchen work that they didn't provide. Including a bread maker! Tons of trays, bowls, pots and pans, plates and glasses that could have served 30 people I think! This is a huge kitchen and every single cabinet is full of kitchen gadgets. Strainers, pitchers, I can't think what else. Tons of books provided, several board games and jigsaw puzzles, they were fun. However, there were no paper products provided. We called housekeeping to get trash bags for the garbage cans and were told they didn't provide them. Along with toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, soap for either bathroom or kitchen. We had to purchase all those things. Good thing we had relatives there to give all the leftovers to. This policy probably wouldn't keep me from returning, but other VRBO places I've used over the years all provide these amenities. Still, all in all, a great experience.
