Delightful weekend with The Belle of Hot Springs

5 of 5
This majestic old house sits on a high corner lot in the picturesque town of Hot Springs. The entire building is spotlessly clean, charmingly furnished and totally comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and prepared in time to meet our early schedule. The hostesses are delightful and know the area quite well. They made us feel really welcome and comfortable. In Hot Springs we've had several good meals at the Iron Horse Station, usually followed by a quiet after-dinner walk on the quiet streets around the edges of Hot Springs. During the day we like to go over to Marshall to check out the art shows on the islands and the small stores on the main street.

Perfect in every way

If you want secluded, woodsy, beautiful, homey, and relaxing, this is your place! I've been coming to the Laurel River to hike and swim for over 10 years, but this is the first time I've been able to stay out there, and it was dream come true. The owners obviously love the property, and it's filled with personal touches from personal art (very good art) on the walls to little decorative touches everywhere. The upstairs bathroom is awesome. Our party of 6 adults and 1 active baby/toddler were very comfortable. The porch is amazing. Really nothing wasn't perfect. We were talking about going back for a week next year by the first morning. Would love to be there in winter too, use the fire pit and explore the river in quieter times. As it was thought, we tubed and splashed and had a wonderful time. Thanks!

Simply Charming!

Our recent "girls getaway" was truly a relaxing one thanks to our choice to stay here. The back yard is an oasis of relaxing activites, hot tub, sauna and firepit on patio. Only complaint is more lighting out back cause the rocks can be a little dangerous. Waking up with the morning cup of coffee and sitting on the porch listening to the river across the road was my favorite part. The owners provided everything except paper towels and toilet paper so if you come, make a stop in town first. The whole town is within walking distance from this house but ignore the detour signs when driving in. And while you're here be sure to eat at the Iron Horse and Sweet Imaginations! The guys at Huck Finn offer a great rafting trip! I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for peace and quiet.
