Beautiful cabin perfect location

5 of 5
The cabin was just as described in listing, beautiful decor, amazing views, and plenty of space for the whole family. The cabin was clean and ready for us when we arrived and Pablo was readily available for questions. The location is wonderful and the drive is an easy one. The whole family had a great time playing in the yard and searching for icicles on the tree and watching as the fog rolled in and the view changed. We had an incredible vacation here and enjoyed the cabin very much. We would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone looking for an true mountain cabin vacation with all the amenities of home. We look forward to returning. Thanks for having us!! :)

Cozy and gorgeous

5 of 5
We spent a long weekend in this lovely cabin for my daughter's 18th birthday. We had a terrific time. The cabin was everything it was advertised to be and more. It seemed every time we turned around we noticed another thoughtful touch. As others have noted, we did have a little trouble getting up the driveway in our little car. We had to drive around the circle and approach the driveway from the opposite direction in order to get up there but that was a very minor issue for us. The cabin was beautiful, warm, well furnished with more than enough bedding and space. The beds were very comfortable with nice pillows. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and it was very easy to find everything we needed. I had just driven straight through for 10 hours and was exhausted by the time we got there and I just couldn't face going back down the mountain for groceries so we called Mary to ask about delivery services and she suggested I check the phone book. I did and found a fantastic delivery service called BooneTakeOut.com. They work with about 30 local restaurants and within an hour we had a hot, delicious meal on the table for a very reasonable delivery fee. I just can't say enough good things about how lovely and beautiful, warm and comfortable the cabin was. The owners do a great job giving you information and preparing you for what you'll need to make your trip as perfect as our was. My girls and I have already talked about making this trip a new annual tradition and Pear Tree Cottage will be our first choice every time!

The best of both worlds

5 of 5
I had a tough challenge ahead of me. My 13 year old son said "dad, I want you to find us a rustic cabin in the mountains" but my wife is a five star resort type woman. Rustic, mountains, and five star are almost impossible to put inot one place so my search was on. I looked at over 50 cabins until I found this one. This is a true log home all the way down to its log railings on the stairs. It is set back on the mountain with an amazing stream that runs behind it, fire pit by the stream for my boys, but when you open the front door, that's where five star meets rustic cabin. The furniture and bedding are large and comfortable, the kitchen is modern and well equipped, and there is room for 6 people to sleep in beds with at least two more on the couch. The vaulted ceilings make you feel like you are in a large custom home and they have thought of everything with this gem. We hiked up the stream, had fires inside and out, and I enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching my oldest son teach my youngest son how to chop wood. I must have heard everyone say 25 times that this was the perfect cabin for everything you want to do. I really like the fsct that you don't need a 4-wheel drive as well. Grocery store is about 15 minutes down the hill into town or there is a store 5 minutes from the cabin that we found to have everything we needed so it was so easy. Wolf Laurel Ski Resort is close by which we did one day but the other days we spent enjoying everything around the cabin. I have already told friends about this place and we will be back for sure. I can't say enough about how nice this cabin made our family trip. It was perfect in every way.
