FAMILY LAKEATION

5 of 5
My family enjoyed a terrific week at the Lake James home. We had all the comforts of home (and then some) while being away, and were able to comfortably relax both in the home and on the water. Since there were grandchildren involved it was really nice for each family to have their own space for those necessary quiet and nap times. We loved spending time on the lake and the pontoon boat was perfect for getting us to the right, secluded spot. All ages will enjoy there time here. I would highly recommend this site for a good sized group and hope to be able to return there with my family in the future.

A GREAT SPOT IN THE MOUNTAINS TO GET AWAY!

5 of 5
We stayed here several nights while visiting family in Spruce Pine. The property is immaculately maintained. The owner was very friendly and always responsive to any questions we had. There were only two of us but I believe this home will sleep at least six. It is an eclectic home…. the original part of the home is very old but in GREAT SHAPE. It has been added on to, and has a huge family room/den. There's a game table and big screen tv in that room, and that is where we spent all of our time. However, the older section of the home also has a formal living room, so if you brought a family here, the adults and kids both have seperate areas to use!! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. We only cooked breakfast while there, but you could cook most anything you wanted with the pots and pans supplied. The property is beautiful!! The home is tucked at the bottom of a mountain and there is a pond on premises. The morning we were checking out we watched a black bear bound across the open field next door! How exciting!! The peace and solitude of this property is wonderful if you looking to get away from it all. Because there were only two of us, and we spent a lot of time with our family in Spruce Pine, we didn't really get to enjoy this property as much as we would have liked to. The front porch begs one to "sit a spell"!! I can not emphasize enough how clean this property was! And!…. there's a washer/dryer which we found so convenient. THANKS STEVE for a great place to retreat to, and lay our heads after a long day in town!! (-:

DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE!

5 of 5
The pictures don't do this justice. We went for our son's graduation from App State and had family meeting us for the weekend to celebrate. Once there, we decided rather than leave the house with the stunning views to go to restaurants we wanted to stay and cook. The house was equipped with everything we needed to create a fabulous comfortable celebration. Everyone commented on how the house and views were better than advertised. The owner was so accommodating and friendly. I can't think of a negative here other than having to leave after only three days.
