Very Relaxing

5 of 5
The cabin was just as pictured and in a very peaceful place. The stars at night were amazing, I have never been able to see so many, so bright before. We hiked around the cabin and walked down by the stream. Really beautiful and peaceful. We were able to cook meals with no issue, as all the needed pots, pans, spices, silverware were provided. It was really a low stress, enjoyable trip - just what we were looking for. The only downside? The path to the house. While it doesn't "require" four wheel drive, it would certainly make it less stressful and less scary. The weather was not on our side during this trip, and with the rain, the dirt/gravel, 1.5 mile uphill path became nerve wracking and a slippery mess. Our SUV got stuck twice, which made us not want to leave once we got there. After a few trips up and down it, we grew to know it and it made it less scary. If you have experience driving on gravel paths, you should be fine. All in all, the path does not take away from the experience and the trip, and we were extremely happy with our stay.

Could not have been more perfect!!

5 of 5
I rented the cabin as a Christmas gift for my college son, who asked for 'the gift of time'. The cabin could not have been more perfect for a weekend of peace and reconnecting to the most important commodity in life...time. Far more well appointed than expected, much more spacious than the beautiful photos show online. The setting is peaceful, across from a lake in the mountains. The cabin is located in an area where 4 wheel drive is not necessary to access. The owner, Des, was immediate in responses with information and very helpful and professional through the rental process. Everything was perfect. I plan to rent the cabin a couple times a year for my son as a way to exhale and reset. Thank you Des! Truly...thank you for a perfect gift.

Excellent repose

5 of 5
Compliments to Mr. Schisler on his excellent property, the "Potato House". Tastefully, and thoroughly furnished and outfitted, with exceptional linens as well. My wife and came away feeling like our expectations were exceeded. Easy to find, via all paved roads, yet situated so as to provide the sought after tranquility. We certainly hope to visit again in the no so distant future. b/r Todd and Laurie
