My wife and I decided spur of the moment to spend a long weekend here to celebrate our birthdays and ended up having a wonderful time. Even though I inquired a little last minute, the owner was extremely helpful and responded to all of my emails quickly...he had me signed up and ready to go as quick as I could get him my info and money. Very friendly and prompt customer service!
The cabin itself is perfect for those seeking some quiet time away from hectic city life. It is tucked away in a rustic location on a mountainside and is private and quiet. There is a little mountain stream that runs down below the house that you can hear from the porch that adds to the charm of the area. The hot tub is a wonderful feature and my wife and I had the most relaxing time just sitting in there looking up at the stars. We had a bit of rainy weather that particular weekend, but we made the best of it cuddled up inside watching movies and listening to the rain fall on the tin roof. Everything was clean and comfortable and the cabin was well stocked with basics like paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Be aware that the cabin has no dishwasher so you can't be wimpy about hand-washing a few dishes! Also, the road that takes you the final mile or so to the cabin is gravel and is a little tricky in a few spots so if winter weather is expected, you're going to want a 4x4 vehicle (although even with all the rain we had, my 2WD 4runner made it up with no problem at all). The price on this cabin simply can't be beat and it is the most wonderful little place for a couple to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Hendersonville is very close by and is a wonderful little town to explore, shop, and eat. Also, we ended up checking out St. Paul Mountain Vinyard, a winery that is only 10-15 mins. away and it was wonderful, we highly recommend it! We can't wait to go back to the Treehouse!
