Exquisite!

5 of 5
The owner was really great to work with. He always responded quickly and gave me a military discount. The house really felt like a home. It truly had everything we needed and so much more. Our children loved the pond and caught many fish and we all enjoyed the hot tub and that wonderful porch. The home itself inspired us to one day build our own log cabin and I fell in love with the floors and the organic sounds of the house. Our small family from GA and my brother's samll family from NY met here and we all really and truly loved this home. We now plan to meet once a year at this very house for a family get away. It was only 20 minutes away from the Mother Earth News Fair with no traffic and truly a beautiful dive. We all loved this rental and the owners had thought of everything. We were however, able to leave the place a tiny bit better than we found it; we found a missing puzzel piece out in the yard and put it back in it's rightful place in the puzzel :) We'll be back!!! LOVED it!!

Peaceful Paradise!

5 of 5
My husband, son and I stayed at Ladybug Hill for a long weekend. This cabin has all the essentials for a relaxing get-a-away--lovely views, comfortable beds, hot tub and a four-seasons room that was our favorite room! Hendersonville is a 10-15 minute drive and we were fortunate to be visiting when the apple trees were in bloom. What a gorgeous site!! We visited DuPont State Recreation Park and hiked to Triple Falls which is a short 2.5 mile hike. Highly recommend building in time to visit this state park. We also visited Downtown Hendersonville--great vision on how to revitalize a downtown area. There's much to explore in this lovely area of North Carolina and we highly recommend Ladybug Hill for your lodging!

Spring break

4 of 5
The cabin was amazing, it is a little tricky to get there as you climb the hills. The views from our cabin was breathtaking and very pretty. Overall the cabin was comfortable, the master bedroom bed was a little hard, the pillows were a little worn down. The view from the master was pretty. The cabin got a tad bit warm so we decided to turn the ciling fan on in the livingroom, but immediately turned it off as it was caked with dust we were worried that the dust chunks would have fallen off onto our food, there were cobwebs in the corner where the windows were. The AC unit upstairs in the master bedroom filter was clogged so we cleaned that up. Just a little tightly up would have been good. The kitchen was ok, the knives were very dull, the salt shaker was empty, there was no basic items such as sugar, flour, and salt. There was a fire place, the owner left wood but the wood wasn't completely dry so we had a heck of a time trying to start the fire. When we got it started finally it was nice and cozy. If you are planning to come and stay and want to make all of your food there, I'd suggest you stop at the store before heading up to the cabin. We had a hard time trying to find a decent grocery store in the area too. We visited DuPont state forest while we were there, breathtaking views of waterfalls and the seanionery was pretty. We visited the town of Hendersonville and stopped at McFarland bakery as we were celebrating our daughters 6th birthday and picked up a cake. The town was a nice town with little shops here and there, but they seemed to close a little early especially for a Friday night. Overall our stay at the cabin was amazing, all we could talk about is wanting a cabin and coming back to this area. The cabin had plenty of room for all of us.
