Short, but relaxing stay

5 of 5
It's a very nicely furnished log cabin with modern amenities. My kids were disappointed that they didn't discover the ping-pong table until the last night, but they'll get over it. I enjoyed rocking on the front deck, where I could read while the wife napped, or just enjoy the view. It's close to dining, antiquing and shopping, so we all had a good time! We found new places in both Asheville and Hendersonville that made the getaway enjoyable, and we didn't break the bank to do it. Cibby & family

Great vacation spot

5 of 5
This place is a near perfect blend of rustic and modern. A spacious log home with all the 21st century conveniences - flat panel tv, satellite, wifi, dishwasher, laundry, and hot tub - made for a very pleasant stay. Fishing in the pond is catch & release and was enjoyed by the kids. All cooking and prep items, as well as appliances, are provided. You can't go wrong renting this spot.

Spring break

4 of 5
The cabin was amazing, it is a little tricky to get there as you climb the hills. The views from our cabin was breathtaking and very pretty. Overall the cabin was comfortable, the master bedroom bed was a little hard, the pillows were a little worn down. The view from the master was pretty. The cabin got a tad bit warm so we decided to turn the ciling fan on in the livingroom, but immediately turned it off as it was caked with dust we were worried that the dust chunks would have fallen off onto our food, there were cobwebs in the corner where the windows were. The AC unit upstairs in the master bedroom filter was clogged so we cleaned that up. Just a little tightly up would have been good. The kitchen was ok, the knives were very dull, the salt shaker was empty, there was no basic items such as sugar, flour, and salt. There was a fire place, the owner left wood but the wood wasn't completely dry so we had a heck of a time trying to start the fire. When we got it started finally it was nice and cozy. If you are planning to come and stay and want to make all of your food there, I'd suggest you stop at the store before heading up to the cabin. We had a hard time trying to find a decent grocery store in the area too. We visited DuPont state forest while we were there, breathtaking views of waterfalls and the seanionery was pretty. We visited the town of Hendersonville and stopped at McFarland bakery as we were celebrating our daughters 6th birthday and picked up a cake. The town was a nice town with little shops here and there, but they seemed to close a little early especially for a Friday night. Overall our stay at the cabin was amazing, all we could talk about is wanting a cabin and coming back to this area. The cabin had plenty of room for all of us.
