Wonderful Getaway Spot!

5 of 5
We travel down to Atlantic Beach/Emerald Isle pretty much every other year and this was one of the best places that we stayed! There were 7 of us total ranging from 18-65. The house was great and the amenities were spot on. We were able to utilize the kitchen/grill for all of our cooking needs and the grocery store options are ver close by. One of the shortest walks to the beach we have ever had from where we were staying. The house was very clean and we had no issues with anything. Not much that can be improved upon and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area. The beach specifically does get a little crowded but it is mostly down near the pier and the public access points. There area in front of the house and around it was more scarce. A great trip and it is evident that the owners take very good care of this home and it is evident when viewing other properties in the area!

Beaufort Cottage

5 of 5
We stayed at the Lighthouse Cottage for the second time this past weekend and had another amazing visit. The cottage is in a perfect location for everything there is to see and do in Beaufort. We visited New Bern, NC on our way down, Moorehead City that first evening and then spent the next three days relaxing on the beaches. We took water ferries three different times, shopped the Front Street stores and ate fantastic food every night. The cottage was directly across from the Farmer's Market where we started our holiday shopping with jams, home made laundry detergent, salsa's and chutney's. This cottage is a great value, is super clean and offers everything you will need for a home base as you discover the Crystal Coast:) Deborah is awesome to work with when making reservations and if you accidentally lock yourself out:(

Excellent choice for an oceanfront beach cottage.

5 of 5
This is the perfect beach cottage in every way. It was clean and sparkling when we arrived, everything worked, and we had no problems. The owners represented the cottage perfectly in their description. I was at first concerned because it is pet friendly and thought it might have a pet odor, but we could not tell in any way there had been pets—no odor, no pet hair. This home is tastefully decorated in a beach theme, and the entire home is bright and airy. If you are a couple going on vacation alone, it is perfect because everything you need is on one floor. If you are a family, the children can stay downstairs and have their own living area and TV. The kitchen is well-stocked with needed utensils, pots, and serving dishes. The deck is partially covered and partially sun and stars. And, most important, the house is literally right on the beach. My husband surf fishes and it was easy to watch him fish and call him in for meals. By the way, he caught lots of fish right in front of the cottage. The management and owners have made this cottage a special getaway place. You will not want for anything during your stay, and should you have any questions or issues while you are staying in this home, the management is a phone call away. We stayed at the cottage one week in September, 2013, and returned for another week at Thanksgiving. We enjoyed the sandwiches and salads at the Village Deli, an excellent crab boil at The Crab’s Claw, a breakfast buffet at Mike’s Place on Sunday, meals at Clawson’s 1905, and meals at Amos Mosquitos. These are all excellent places to eat. We purchased very fresh seafood from Willis’ Seafood in Salter Path. My husband rented a kayak, took lessons, and went fishing on the White Oak River nearby. The neighborhood streets are perfect for runners. If you are a photographer, the sunsets are beautiful from the deck. My husband has been coming to this beach for vacation for his entire life and states that this is the best place he has ever stayed. This home is one of the older brick homes on the island, but the remodeling and redecoration of the home makes it seem as if you are in a new modern home. This home offers a great location, fabulous interior decorating, cleanliness, great management and many activities. I can highly recommend this cottage.
