                Gorgeous and Convenient!

                5 of 5
We came here after our son graduated from college, for a family reunion, graduation celebration and my mother's 80th birthday celebration. It was perfect! We were fortunate to have the most beautiful weather one could want, which helped. Regardless of the weather though, the place is truly beautiful. We had more than enough room and enjoyed hanging out inside and outside. We had easy access to many activities and were not bored for a moment. Could have stayed longer than the 5 nights we had there and hope to go back some day! I highly recommend this place, especially if you like the sound of rushing water. The only negative for some was the lack of internet and the difficulty in figuring out the cable TV. But we survived! :) We hiked up to Chimney Rock, took a boat tour of Lake Lure, went on a waterfall tour and the kids went mountain climbing. We had so much fun cooking together that we did not eat out at all. It felt like home, but better! PS- Some other houses are right next to the main street, but for this one, you have to cross a bridge to the other side of the river, which means you don't hear any traffic. Great location!
