The Serenity Place lives up to it's name!

5 of 5
It was perfect for my family of 6 and various friends and relatives that visited. It has an amazing outdoor smoker and kitchen area that the family loved to congregate around. It is an end of the road property with plenty of room for my family. On 28 acres and no neighbors in view, it felt like paradise compared to the city. It was close to Bryson City and one friend even brought their horse and was able to stable it on property. I can't begin to say enough about this rental. The ease of finding and reaching the property with it's privacy is unbeatable. Our visit was a true retreat into relaxation.

Beautiful and Quite Place!

5 of 5
Such a quite and beautiful place. We rented this place for fall colors during october(2014) and were welcomed with the most beautiful weather and the place was in middle of the woods with lush fall colors. The place is situated on a small hill top overlooking a lake which is accessible if you walk down the driveway. They have a trout farm which is worth going to find fresh fish. The place had all the amenities needed with fully equipped kitchen. They had few board games for the nights and they do have a firepit and bb1 pit outside. Its an absolute quite and beautiful place. They even have an axe if you want to go around and chop some logs. We didn't use the boats, kayaks and noodles they have since the water was shallow during winters but they are available to use . For sight seeing because of time constraints, we went to the nearest town Bryson city and hiked to the 3 waterfalls in Deep Creek area. The hike was easy and the place was very scenic. Things to do: NOC ( to spend few hours), ride to skyway and fontan dam ( takes 1/2 day), cade's cove(takes a day) , Deep Creek --indian creek waterfalls(takes 1/2 day to picnic and hike) We flew in to Atlanta and drove to the place. One tip is to go to the place during daylight, because of our flight delays we reached the place around 11 PM at night. They have 2 ways to get to this place and for some reason our GPS was showing the way from winding stair way. I would recommend changing the GPS settings to go through the longest route which is more scenic and is paved(Owner should be able to send you the directions through scenic road). We went through the unpaved and had a flat tire, we rented a suv not a 4W. I would highly recommend a GPS since cell phone coverage is very spotty in the woods.
