Mountain cabin retreat weekend

5 of 5
The cabin was a magic mountain stay in all regards. We had a wonderful stay and everything was as published and more. The view from the deck of the stars and mountain view was out of sight. We enjoyed the fire pit at night for roasted marshmallows and hot dogs. The outside gas grill was the best and very clean and set up for easy use. Access to the unit was an experience too. I felt like we were driving to the moon as the road was at blast off angle. Quite a climb at the end. Very private cabin location. Inside and out the cabin was just right. Kitchen furnishing was spot on for our use. Beds and bathrooms very clean and comfortable for all. Inside fire place was used and a nice bonus. The cabin was very close to everything we wanted to explore like Smokey Mountain train rides, NOC, Deer Creek park, Harrad's and blue ridge parkway areas. Only issue we had was there were old batteries in a few remote control (we bought new for next guest) and no spare light bulbs (we also bought new bulbs). The check in instructions were very easy to use and made checkin very convenient. Parking was perfect and reservations very satisfying experience. All in all one of my favorite get away weekends. Thank goodness our checkout was prior to the snow fall. One last thing was the sun set view from the porch. It was spectacular and worthy of a standing ovation!!!!!!

Great Place To Spend Your Time

5 of 5
Close to Nantahala for rafting and fishing, Great Smokey Mountain State Park, Cherokee and Maggie Valley. Bryson City has a few good eating places and an Ingles grocery. A Cozy and well kept cabin that's nice to come back to after a long day out and about. Really enjoyed the creek and the peace and quiet. Lots of channels on TV and wireless for connecting to the internet. Everything worked flawlessly. Needless to say we enjoyed our stay.

The Perfect Get Away in NC!

5 of 5
I am the queen of research and it took me several months to find the perfect place, that would be Carolina House! We have grand kids from 6 months to 5 years old + 3 sets of parents to accommodate and Carolina House had it all. We loved the master suite on ground level so the Grandparents could escape. The two upstairs bedrooms were perfect and the fact that the owner has equipped the house for a crawling toddler was icing on the cake. Loved the river, fished and swam and walked the length. Stars were beautiful in the hot tub on the back porch and everyone spent tons of time on the front screened in porch rocking and swinging. The grounds were well kept the house had everything we could possibly need including the washer and dryer! Bryson city has tons of stuff to do we went hiking, gem hunting, took the train, fishing, and even spent an afternoon at Santaland. Parks close by were beautiful and very close. Town was just a quick drive away yet we felt like we were all alone in our own paradise at Carolina House. Reservations were handled so wonderfully and lots of great information was shared on what to do. We even loved the plant ID chart at the house to look through the woods with while we hiked. We used the grill multiple nights and the fire ring down at the river with stump seats and plenty of back up wood. Would I recommend this property to anyone, no I would recomend it to Everyone!!
