OUR FAVORITE VACATION PLACE!!!

5 of 5
This is our second summer at the Fox Run Cabin as it was just as amazing as it was last year! This is truly a special cabin with amazing mountain views and privacy. Coming from South Florida, this is very different for us and we can really appreciate the beautiful surroundings of the mountains and how really peaceful and serene it is. The sounds of nature around you is so relaxing, especially when enjoying a cup of coffee on the front porch every morning on the inviting rocking chairs. You get to watch the hummingbirds come to the feeders and watch the morning clouds/fog come through the mountains. it is just incredible! This place gives you a chance to "unplug" from the real world for a change and take notice of God's beautiful creations around you. The owners, Donnie & Brenda Mohn, are so kind, helpful, and quick to respond to any questions or concerns you may have. You can tell how much they care for this cabin and there guests. The cabin is very clean, cozy, and has everything to make you feel at home. Also, there are many activities in the area, such as horseback riding in the Smokey Mountains (highly recommend Smokemont Ranches), tubing down Deep Creek (that is really fun!), Ziplining/Adventure Park at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, visiting Clingman;'s Dome and the various waterfall hikes throughout the Smokey Mountains National Park, and of course, hiking the various trails throughout the Smokies. Don't forget to try the 1/2 mile hike up to the amazing waterfall that is right near the cabin! Although a challenge to get there (it is pretty steep), don't give up! It is worth all the effort once you finally get there! Best of all, it is totally PRIVATE and you get to take home some great pictures! The bad part of this place is that you will really MISS it once you have to check out of Fox Run and realize what a special place it really is. You CANNOT go wrong if you choose this incredible cabin! This has definitely become our favorite family vacation place and once you stay there, you will definitely see why. ENJOY! :-)

BEAUTIFUL CABIN

5 of 5
I arrived with my family and my brother's family at this beautiful, well maintained, organized, and clean cabin on Dec. 22,2013 to spend Christmas. There was plenty of space for the 8 of us. The children played for hours, they were entertained with all the games and the keyboard. We the adults entertained ourselves cooking, talking by the fireplace, reading on the porch, and checking out the views of the mountains. We went to town for groceries and to ride on the Polar Express. I recommend this cabin to families with children or for couples looking for a good place to relax. I would like to say thank you to Annie for all the help and attention she gave to us. She was always available to answer our questions and always very kind.

CELEBRATING OUR GRANDSON'S BIRTHDAY

5 of 5
Staying at the Sabbath House was wonderful. It truly looks just like the pictures-- nicely decorated and as clean as could be. We used 6 of the 8 bedrooms for family that stayed overnight. On Sat. we had other family that came just for the day. We had a total of 30 people for the celebration and not once did we feel crowded. Everyone especially enjoyed the porch with the rocking chairs which made the perfect place for visiting with each other. The dining area was a great size with the two tables and a buffet for serving. We didn't use the upstairs and downstairs much since our birthday boy is two. We could easily block off the stairs keeping him out of danger. I regret that I didn't get to use the upstairs and downstairs since they were both very inviting and peaceful areas. The downstairs has a huge conference table that would be very useful if you were having retreats or meetings there. The owners were very helpful in getting us settled and close by if we needed them. Now the road up to the place was our only concern. It is steep in places and a little difficult to drive up if you are not used to that type of driving but we all made it to the top and it was well worth the effort. The view was amazing! I only wish that we could have stayed longer. Hope to get the opportunity to visitt the Sabbath House again.
