Warm & inviting

5 of 5
This home was perfect for me & my family. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out although we spent most of our time around the fire upstairs & cooking & playing games at the large dining room table. We saw snow, did a lot of hiking in the rain at midnight & enjoying the incredible view of Grandfather Mtn. A very cozy home away from home, I hope to come back soon!

Beautiful, Well-appointed home in a perfect location by the river

5 of 5
We spent 5 days at this house in mid-April 2014 and had a GREAT time. The house is beautiful, has great furniture, beds are extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms are immaculate. The house is clearly maintained and taken care of. It was very clean and we found no issues with the house. The house is in a gated community so it provided nice privacy and a sense of security for me and my family. The best part of the house was the big backyard, firepit and the Watauga river directly behind the house. We spent most of our time by the fire watching the water rush by while the kids played in a small stream directly next to the house that dumps into the river. The kid's room/loft upstairs was wonderful for our kids and it was nice having a TV in every bedroom. The owner, Chris, was extremely helpful in all communications and made sure we were well taken care of! We would absolutely come back to this house any time we choose to stay near Boone. The location was great and was an easy 5-10 minute drive to either Boone or Valle Crucis.

Cherry Tree Lodge- Excellent Choice

5 of 5
Cherry Tree Lodge was an excellent choice for our extended stay for the following reasons: 1. Secure wireless internet allowed both my husband and me to continue working while we were there. 2. The driveway was easily manageable for our motorcycles and it was nice to be so near the entrance of Twin Rivers. 3. The home was clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked- I didn't lack for anything. 4. The fire pit was wonderful. Great for roasting marshmallows and just sitting around it to talk about the day. 5. The soaking tub in the master bathroom was a hit after a long day of hiking. 6. Location, Location, Location! Being right off of Hwy. 105 and between Boone and Banner Elk is great. Once you enter the gates of Twin Rivers you feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere but the everything you need- including the grocery store is just down the road. 7. Twin Rivers is a gorgeous gated community. The fast flowing streams and hiking trails are great. 8. The owner's are wonderful and very accomodating. We would not hesitate to rent this cabin again!
