Beautiful, well-appointed home

5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautifully-decorated home. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds, upscale linens, and luxurious bathrooms. The hot tub was enormous and easily fit our group of six. The kitchen was well-equipped and had all the necessary items we needed to cook. We spent the majority of our time talking around the elongated center island or in front of the gas fireplace in the living room. The heated garage/rec. room was an added bonus and allowed the guys to get away and watch some football. The owner was very attentive to our questions and needs and may the stay that much more relaxing. Thank you, Bill!

Family Vacation Getaway

5 of 5
We throughly enjoyed our family vacation getaway. The owner was a pleasure to work with and very helpful!! The description is accurate regarding the location, layout and amenities, although there are only showers, no bathtubs in the bathrooms. The house is a "rustic cabin in the mountains", adjacent to Wilson's creek, accessed by a long gravel road that runs along the creek. The property was clean, well-maintained and well furnished with kitchen appliances. We loved the deck, the waterfall and the swimming spot. My husband and 7-year old son even went for a short swim. My son was a bit disappointed that the water-wheel was not working, but it was completely forgotten when he realized that he could play darts and horse-shoes. There is even a tree-swing that my husband and brother-in-law both thought was great. There is plenty of room to run around, and although the steps down from the deck to the water are steep, there is a much gentler slope if you go around the house. We enjoyed hiking the trail behind the house that goes to a small waterfall and to a lookout for Grandfather Mountain. (If you are desperate for cell phone service, my husband was able to access it on the trail up near the lookout spot!) We also hiked to Betsy's Country store. The gentleman there gave us other great places nearby where we could go hiking. It was a very relaxing vacation. Thanks, Mr. Jeff!!
