Amazing Vacation!

5 of 5
My family of five recently stayed in this beautiful mountain home and we had a wonderful time. The house was spotless, well furnished, beautifully decorated and very luxurious. The beds were very comfortable and the bed and bath linens were very nice. This is a high end home ! The view from the house was great and we enjoyed making a fire by the river every night. My kids also really enjoyed the hot tub, but their favorite part was riding the bikes that are provided. The neighborhood is gated and my kids loved exploring all around. The location of the house is perfect and very close to Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. All three towns offer a multitude of shopping and dining options. The home is also close to Valle Crucis, where you find the original Mass General Store and the Valle Crucis Park. There are great antique stores not far away from the house, which I enjoyed. Something for everyone. Our vacation was truly relaxing. I would highly recommend this house to anyone and we will definitely go back again.

Excellent

5 of 5
We rented the cabin during family weekend at ASU. The cabin was clean and the description/pictures were accurate. Sally was very helpful in checking in as well as during our stay. The cabin is also very stocked with pots/pans, dishes, silverware, etc. With a student at ASU, we will definately be back!

Family Vacation Getaway

5 of 5
We throughly enjoyed our family vacation getaway. The owner was a pleasure to work with and very helpful!! The description is accurate regarding the location, layout and amenities, although there are only showers, no bathtubs in the bathrooms. The house is a "rustic cabin in the mountains", adjacent to Wilson's creek, accessed by a long gravel road that runs along the creek. The property was clean, well-maintained and well furnished with kitchen appliances. We loved the deck, the waterfall and the swimming spot. My husband and 7-year old son even went for a short swim. My son was a bit disappointed that the water-wheel was not working, but it was completely forgotten when he realized that he could play darts and horse-shoes. There is even a tree-swing that my husband and brother-in-law both thought was great. There is plenty of room to run around, and although the steps down from the deck to the water are steep, there is a much gentler slope if you go around the house. We enjoyed hiking the trail behind the house that goes to a small waterfall and to a lookout for Grandfather Mountain. (If you are desperate for cell phone service, my husband was able to access it on the trail up near the lookout spot!) We also hiked to Betsy's Country store. The gentleman there gave us other great places nearby where we could go hiking. It was a very relaxing vacation. Thanks, Mr. Jeff!!
