Beautiful Mountain Retreat

5 of 5
I recently stayed at this cabin with a group for a girls getaway. The house is beautiful and I wish I could have stayed for a month! This home has everything that you and your group will need from kitchen utensils to games and movies. It is also close by to downtown Asheville and all of the local attractions. The beds are very comfortable and it was very nice to arrive to a home that had the beds made up with linens on them. We had plenty of room to stay and to get ready which can be a big deal with a group of women! The scenery around the cabin is gorgeous with a view of the mountains. I hope to come back during the fall for the fall foliage. On the way into the community we saw a black bear in the woods which was very exciting. Kelley was so easy to work with and was quick to respond to any questions I had. You will be glad you reserved this home for your next getaway!

This property is everything it is represented to be and so much more. We arrived from Florida, Ohio, DC, Chapel Hill and Germany to a warm and inviting Lodge. The HunniHome Lodge is equipped with everything you can think of to enjoy time in the mountains with family and friends. Whether it was enjoying a hot cup of coffee rocking on the back porch overlooking the mountains or sitting comfortably in front of the warm fireplace, this was a great setting to ring in the New Year. It is especially nice to have such easy access to local attractions like Asheville, NC (microbrew capital of the East) and Black Mountain where the people are so friendly. We were able to enjoy plenty of nice hiking including just walking the roads within the Preserve after dark. We saw deer and turkey and despite keeping an open eye, did not come across any bears. The accommodations were really nice for our group of 9 adults. There is plenty of flexibility for sleeping in the upstairs game room or by taking the twin mattresses into the cinema room. Every room is comfortably decorated leaving guests with a real feel for the mountains. The house is well supplied with puzzles, games and books if all you want to do is kick back and relax. The Lodge owners were so responsive to our needs. Always available to answer questions and make sure that our stay in their home was comfortable. We were fortunate to be able to spend a week in their home and to ring in the New Year in such a beautiful and relaxing setting. Thank you for sharing your little piece of serenity.
