My 17 year old son and I just stayed in this cabin as a jumping off point to college visits and a couple of kayak runs of the Green River (him, not me)! This was just the right middle point and gave us a cozy place on a beautiful grounds.
The hammock swing on the front porch was a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee. I enjoyed the camp singing from the camp next door... not loud enough to really hear inside but outside I was able to feel part of the community. Even took some time to strum some of my own Appalachian tunes on my guitar. The perfect setting.
The cabin was in great condition and it's nice to know it has a rich history.
George checked in on us and made sure we had a great trip.
