HOME AWAY FROM HOME

The Aspen Ski Loft is the perfect rental for a comfortable, hassle free stay in the beautiful NC Mountains! We enjoyed staying at The Aspen Ski Loft so much in October of 2013 we stayed again in June 2014. As a matter of fact, we just returned from our vacation, and I cant say enough great things about Roger. He makes it extremely easy to book your stay and hes always quick to respond to any questions (I added an extra night stay at the last minute during our October stay). You can rest assured Roger will do all he can to make your stay a great experience. The long range views, strong wifi signal, cable tv, and comfortable beds are just a few of the pluses to the Aspen Ski Loft. The deck is a great place to enjoy coffee or a glass of wine. And Beech Mountain is figuratively and literally one of the coolest towns in NC. It is the highest town east of the Mississippi, and the temps never rose above 73 degrees while we were there in June. Such a terrific getaway from the oppressive heat and humidity back at home. The Aspen Ski Loft is also a perfect jump off point for daily adventures. Its near to The Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Boone, and Linville Falls. We even took a day trip down to Asheville NC one day (about a 2 hour drive). Also, dont miss a trip to Famous Louise's Rockhouse Restaurant in Linville Falls for a great meal. Of course, you should schedule one day to do nothing but be lazy and enjoy The Aspen Ski Loft. Lounge on the deck or the swing with your favorite book and just soak in the views. The Aspen Ski Loft really is 'where troubles melt like lemondrops away above the chimney tops'!

NICE AND QUIET

5 of 5
We enjoyed our two nights in this cozy log cabin. The beds are comfortable. The best part is the porch area. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed for the stay. The owner was nice to work with. I am not sure that I would bring 11 people to stay as it might be a little crowded. 6-8 max would be my recommendation for an enjoyable time.

OUSTANDING NEWER CABIN WITH AN EXPERIENCED AND CONSIDERATE OWNER. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

5 of 5
I rented the cabin for a weekend ski trip to Beech Mountain. Although the weather didn't cooperate the entire weekend we were able to find plenty of other things to do, even in January. There was hiking and spelunking within a 20 minute drive, Boone is only 10 minutes away and Beech Mountain is also only 20 minutes away. Doesn't get much more central than that. And what could be better to come back to than a nice, toasty hot tub outside on the deck. The interior is very spacious and we could have had 3 times as many people sitting on all the couches alone and still had room for plenty more. The kitchen was fully stocked with tools, utensils and even donations of spices left by previous renters. We cooked breakfast and dinner each night (once using the gas grill on the deck) and had everything we needed. The dining table easily sits 10. There was plenty of towels, extra blankets and even roll-away beds in some of the closets if you need to stretch the sleeping arrangements further. In my opinion, if you counted bedrooms, roll-aways and couches, you could technically sleep 20 in this cabin. Since we didn't ski we didn't need to use the washer but the dryer worked great to dry hot tub towels! The water was hot even with two showers going and kept good pressure. We originally had a group of 6 adults that ended up being reduced to 4 unexpectedly. Benny took pity on us and reduced our rate. He didn't have to do that and we really appreciated it. I will rent this cabin again next year for our ski trip and won't even bother checking the weather.
