Perfect place to stay!!!

5 of 5
The Aspen Ski Loft was the perfect place for my family. We added this portion of our road trip from FL to PA just weeks before our trip. Our goal was to drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway instead of taking the boring I95 route. We stayed at the Aspen Ski Loft from August 7th through the 9th. I knew very little about NC, but heard it was beautiful. After doing my research on homes to rent, I narrowed it down to the Aspen Ski Loft and a few others. Since I knew very little about the location, I had a ton of questions. While others seemed a little irritated with my questions, Roger was awesome to work with. He sent me tons of information on activities and dining, was very quick to respond to every email, provided great directions (don't trust your GPS), was very accommodating with all of my requests and followed through with everything. The Aspen Ski Loft was gorgeous, very neat and perfect for our stay. The views were amazing, everything was clean and it comes with everything you need- a fully equipped kitchen, toiletries, phone and TV's in all of the rooms. The kids loved the Asian style tub in the master bathroom and the fact that they had their privacy with the separate bedrooms. We spent one night grilling filets on the outside deck enjoying the magnificent mountain views. Although we were only there for a few days, we were able to do quite a bit. We dined at one of the local restaurants, hiked Linville Falls along with other falls, panned for gems in Little Switzerland, visited some of the shops in Elk Banner and of course drove the Blue Ridge Parkway which was breathtaking. Roger and Michelle, thank you very much for helping us make this portion of our vacation terrific. My husband and I are already talking about planning our next trip to the Aspen Ski Loft. Nice and Quiet

5 of 5
We enjoyed our two nights in this cozy log cabin. The beds are comfortable. The best part is the porch area. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed for the stay. The owner was nice to work with. I am not sure that I would bring 11 people to stay as it might be a little crowded. 6-8 max would be my recommendation for an enjoyable time.

Oustanding Newer Cabin With An Experienced And Considerate Owner. You Won't Be Disappointed!

5 of 5
I rented the cabin for a weekend ski trip to Beech Mountain. Although the weather didn't cooperate the entire weekend we were able to find plenty of other things to do, even in January. There was hiking and spelunking within a 20 minute drive, Boone is only 10 minutes away and Beech Mountain is also only 20 minutes away. Doesn't get much more central than that. And what could be better to come back to than a nice, toasty hot tub outside on the deck. The interior is very spacious and we could have had 3 times as many people sitting on all the couches alone and still had room for plenty more. The kitchen was fully stocked with tools, utensils and even donations of spices left by previous renters. We cooked breakfast and dinner each night (once using the gas grill on the deck) and had everything we needed. The dining table easily sits 10. There was plenty of towels, extra blankets and even roll-away beds in some of the closets if you need to stretch the sleeping arrangements further. In my opinion, if you counted bedrooms, roll-aways and couches, you could technically sleep 20 in this cabin. Since we didn't ski we didn't need to use the washer but the dryer worked great to dry hot tub towels! The water was hot even with two showers going and kept good pressure. We originally had a group of 6 adults that ended up being reduced to 4 unexpectedly. Benny took pity on us and reduced our rate. He didn't have to do that and we really appreciated it. I will rent this cabin again next year for our ski trip and won't even bother checking the weather.
