A 10 on the WOW FACTOR!!

5 of 5
From the time we arrived, till the time we left, it was perfect! It was a surprise trip for Allissas birthday and nothing short of amazing. Prepearing for the drive up the mountain threw curves, to the quiet time sitting outside enjoying the wildlife was an experience that will last a life time. We arrived not long after lunch with a warm welcome. As we entered the cabin for the first time we could not help but to be in shock of just how beautiful the place was.The pictures on the website do not give this cabin justice. From the open floor plan to the amazing cozy rooms. Everything just shines and flows together. One of our favorites was the kitchen area. We spent our first night just admiring and enjoying the peace and quiet. From the master room to the theater room down stairs we shared many laughs and memories. The downstairs level was unbelievable. From the game room to the theater room we were back and forth the whole time. The peaceful nights and weather made perfect for a great nights rest. Not to mention the AMAZING beds. We didn't go upstairs much, unless it was to just admire the place. Very beautiful though. Would make great guest rooms for family and friends. All the acomidations were so convienet. From the bathroom and showers to the hot tub and deck. Words can't really describe it. We spent most of our time just relaxing. But we did manage to get out for several hours and enjoy the area. You can't really go wrong with which area you travel and visit. From boone all the way to banner elk, there's just so much to take advantage of. Trout fishing, mining, shopping, skiing, tubing, and even for the extreme adrenaline junkies, zipplineing. You can't go wrong with either one. Even just getting out and taking pictures and soaking in the scenery. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Any age or gender. Take advantage of life enjoy and enjoy the small things. Susan we enjoyed it and can't wait to come back! P.S. thanks for the balloon upon the arrival for Allissas bithday. It was very generous and sweet

Three Family Winter Vacation

5 of 5
I was looking for a place that would be large enough to accommodate 3 families and the options were limited. When I came across this cabin, I called Floyd to see if it was available and find out additional details. Floyd was absolutely the most friendly person I have every rented from and greeted us when we arrived. We enjoyed the upstairs/downstairs separate living quarters and the hot-tubs, kitchens, etc. on each level. My kids loved hiking, sledding, and most of all the nearby skiing. I would definitely recommend Serenity Haven for future trips.

Great place for a big family

5 of 5
Coming in from several different states, we had a family get together in this cabin and it was wonderful! It's always a challenge to not feel on top of each other or to worry that your kids are going to wake the whole house, but this place was wonderful! The bedrooms were spaced out nicely with 2 on the top floor, 1 on the main floor and 2 in the basement, so we all felt like we had our own spaces. Often when we travel with our baby, we are concerned about having a place to put the pack n play so she is not directly in our room. This time we had enough space to have her in her own room, but we noticed that the master closet and the owl room closet were both big enough to hold a pack n play if we decide to come back another time with more people. The kids bunk room was great with 4 bunk beds and 2 mattresses underneath the bunks as well for fun cousin sleep overs! The porches were also great for having a small child with us. The top porch off the main living area was completely enclosed, so we could be out there playing games at the table or reading in the rocking chairs and she couldn't get out but would still be happy watching the older kids play in the yard below. The lower porch was great for hanging out in when she was in the yard playing with them so we were close at hand. Everything was so comfortable and nice, we highly recommend it for either families with or without kids. The kitchen was so well equipped too, that we weren't ever missing a thing- from spices to pans to a crockpot! Thanks for a wonderful trip!
