so grateful

This place is spectacular! Where do I begin... if you don't pick this place, you're regret it. It's a winner. The peace of God really rest in this place. It's amazing and beautiful. We enjoyed Grandfather's Mountain, Bakersville town, and Gem mining. My husband enjoyed that the most, we actually found some great precious stones. The beds in this home are amazing, they have paid attention to every detail. The home is equipped with everything you need. It felt like home. The scenery and views are incredible. Things are about 40 mins away, but the drives are so beautiful you don't mind. Small grocery store 1 mile away. We hope to come back here again. My husband is a jazz musician and he definitely felt inspired here. Great place for writers or artist. Www.kennethcarrmusic.com

Thanksgiving at the Red Roof Farmhouse

5 of 5
My husband and I along with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren spent Thanksgiving week at the Farmhouse. The view is incredible and even with the cold weather there was plenty of hiking to do. The one concern of mine was trying to cook the traditional Thanksgiving dinner in unknown kitchen. I could not have been more pleased with the kitchen set up. The beds were very comfortable which is another concern when renting. We were predicted to have a heavy snow on Wed. but it only snowed in the higher elevations. We were able to drive up Hughes Gap road and get to the snow as well as the appalachian trail. We woke up to a white Thanksgiving which was fun for all. Thanks so much for providing a house that reminded me of a really nice bed and breakfast. We created wonderful family memories.

Just Super!

5 of 5
We spent three marvelous nights at Birdtown. The guesthouse is very well cared for, well equiped and beautifully clean. It is decorated and furnished very tastefully with quality fittings. Extremely comfortable bed with down pillows and cotton linens, plenty of fluffy bath towels. The location is extremely peaceful set in lovely grounds and our hosts Mary and Alli were delightful, friendly and fun. We loved everything about it. A real highlight of our North Carolina touring holiday I would not hesitate to recommend this property. Thank you, Helena and Haydn (UK)
