            Better Than Expected

What a cute, clean house we chose to be our home base for a 4 day vacation to Asheville. Janis gave us a quick summary of the places to see; places to hike; and places to eat. Her charming house is in a convenient location close to the Biltmore, restaurants, shopping, the downtown area, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Janis provided us with tips on the areas we wanted to explore, and her directions are accurate! We visited the Biltmore (spaced it in parts of 2 days); we hiked the Triple, High and Bridal Veils Falls in one day! Whew! We hiked on the Blue Ridge parkway trails..Graveyard Fields, etc. We sampled 3 breweries...L.A.B., A.B.C and the Wicked Weed, and went to Pack's Tavern. On our last morning we rode to Mt Mitchell Park and hiked to the top of Mt. Mitchell! We plan on returning for another vacation to Asheville........... However, we will have additional gear including raincoats and hiking boots! Somehow, we managed to dodge the raindrops at the right times. Thanks for the hospitality!

Location was perfect. Quiet wooded location although still close to Hendersonville and Asheville. Easy to get around especially with GPS. I felt very secure in the home. Every comfort of home and decorated beautifully and clean and efficient layout.. All my friends were delighted with the property and we made great memories during our stay of almost two weeks. Loved Black Rose in Hendersonville and the Black Forest Restaurant close to Asheville. We enjoyed Biltmore Village and Carl Sandburg home with the goat farm.
