FAMILY TRIP

5 of 5
Pros: location : 5 min to lake Lure, zipline, kayaking, 10 min to Chimney Rock house : kitchen is fully stocked unlike the most rental houses that have bare minimum. house is full of antiques, kinda like a museum. very impressive. all appliances work well. never had any problems. lots of extras like free shampoo, laundry detergent, welcome basket etc. we always had to bring things like that with us . in this case you can bring nothing , everything is provided. returning guests get a 15% discount Cons: cleaning fee is a bit high in my opinion. more than we usually pay when we rent. we used all 4 bedrooms and paid $150 for the cleaning. We had a wonderful time and there is a good chance we'll be back.

THE PERFECT GETAWAY

5 of 5
What a wonderful place this is! Beautiful cabin with everything you may need for your stay! The canoe, the deck, the view, the grill outside. Just perfect. The community is amazing. We have enjoyed tubing down the river, relaxing by the water, swimming in the swimming hole! The little beach is beautiful and well cared for. Do not forget to visit Chimney Rock. Very convenient to the grocery store as well, which was a blessing. The owners are super nice! We hope to be back.

PERFECTION IN A RENTAL!

5 of 5
Mockingbird Lane is absolute perfection! Whether you are looking for a place to connect with family or friends, the spacious rental gives everyone plenty of space for privacy or quiet corners, while also encouraging gathering in the large kitchen and dining area, in one of two living rooms with lovely views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, on the large back deck, or even patio downstairs! The bathrooms are spa-quality, with one that has a beautiful view of the mountains from a high window in the shower. The bedrooms are bright and comfortable - many offer the same gorgeous views from the windows. Every room in the house feels like home, not a typical vacation rental. I've had the pleasure of staying in this rental both in the summer and winter. Watching the sunrise through gently falling snow while sipping on coffee, or a sunset on the back porch on a mild summer evening is something I look forward to! I look forward to returning again for a fall visit and seeing the fall foliage in all it's glory - the home really is guaranteed to be a beauty in all seasons. You will not find more welcoming and kind property owners that take such pride in their rental. The rental is spotless, well organized, and always fully stocked with anything you need. The kitchen lends itself well to feeding large crowds - we've had up to 6 people prepping and cooking in the kitchen and could have easily added 4 more with plenty of elbow room thanks to ample counter space. Just minutes away from the quaint downtown of Weaverville, enjoy a tasty breakfast at Well-Bred bakery, delicious savory crepes for lunch at the Creperie, or some of the best pizza at Blue Mountain pizza. If you prefer to cook every meal at the rental - there are grocery stores very close by to pop in to and grab anything you'll need for your stay. One of the greatest things about the rental is the location. You are just a short drive from Asheville, but if you prefer a quieter setting than the city where you feel as if you've escaped miles out in to the mountains, this is the rental for you! You are also a short distance from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I've stayed in several rentals in the area over the past 10 years, and not one compares to the comfort, spaciousness, cleanliness, and beauty of Mockingbird Hill.
