Great place to stay to be in the heart of downtown

5 of 5
The condo is beautifully decorated and very clean. It has a nice warm feeling. Our company used the space for an offsite leadership retreat for three people. There are two queen size beds. I am shorter and ended up on the coach. Be prepared for street noise on the weekends. Asheville has a bustling nightlife, so you'll run into this at most places downtown. The property has a number of parks nearby. We were up for early running every morning. No better place to hit the streets and get some hill work in. Thanks Bernie!

Cummings Cove - A Winter Wonderland

5 of 5
This was our third stay at Cummings Cove. The condo is kept up very nicely, equipped with all our daily needs. Two separate bedroom suites, separated by a large great room, make it nice for visitors. It is conveniently located to what we want to see in the area. Close by to Hendersonville, Brevard, Waynesville and Asheville. Trails, waterfalls, quality restaurants and shopping. Greenville, SC is only an hour away. Visit Reedy River Falls, great for walking along the waterfalls, and the Greenville Zoo. Downtown Hendersonville has Black Bear Coffee for relaxing afternoon tea and coffee. Flat Rock Playhouse for live theater, and Epic theater for first run movies. The streets in Cummings Cove are comfortable for walking, at every level of endurance, with the friendliest neighbors who will wave and say hello. The clubhouse is nice for lunch or dinner. We are considering moving to the area, and having this condo to stay at gives us a positive picture of this and surrounding locations. Thank you, Dave and Linda Chase, for providing a beautiful home away from home! We will return. Joyce and John Janco

Love Hendersonville

4 of 5
While we had some issues when we arrived, the rental company took quick care of it. I knocked a star off because of the noise level. They are doing construction to update the offices below and for a while it was 24/7. The HOA has voted to restrict the construction to daytime hours. We hope this takes care of the issue of construction. You can easily hear anyone in the hallway, the elevator bell, the trash shoot and other varied noises. We also found that you can be heard inside of the condo as well. From talking on the phone to just making dinner, anyone passing by can hear everything you say. We hope the owner will take some care to sound proof the place a bit. There were plenty of towels, sheets and blankets. a basic washer/dryer to help you keep up. The water pressure is lacking, but I am not sure that can be remedied. Basic cable, basic internet. You cant stream a movie, but its more than enough to keep up to email, and social media sites. Several restaurants in the area will deliver, but whats the fun in that? Downtown offers a nice variety of places to eat, drink and be merry. A basic kitchen with coffee maker and toaster are helpful if you want to eat in. an organic grocery right next door offers gluten free choices as well as organic. We cannot say enough about the downtown area. From amazing foliage to quick access to the blue ridge parkway, plays, movies, and shopping are within walking distance. Friendly neighbors and well maintained building. Many units rent, so there is a constant change in who you see. The building is secure. You need a key to gain entry thru any access point. You wont find folks wandering the halls unless they are meant to be there. Its a cute condo with a DVD player, board games, plenty to read, or many great things to see and do at your door. The old courthouse offers a great tour thru history. From farmers markets to apple festivals we never lacked for something to do. We love the area so much we decided to buy a home here. Take a walk, visit the local shops. We hope you too will fall in love with Hendersonville.
