A Warm and Fuzzy Experience at The Nest

5 of 5
My stay at The Nest was a magical one. It started with Chelsea, the woman who's in charge of bookings, being so helpful and quick to respond to my needs for me to decide if this cottage was right for me. Well it was! Judy, the manager from this cottage, picked me up at the bus stop, right on The Village Green, and showed me around town before taking me to the cottage. I stayed there for 4 days and three nights and found the cottage to be quite warm and cozy and very clean. It was like I just moved into my perfect summer home. Everything in the home was filled with creative paintings, enpowering sayings and just had everything I could want for my solo retreat! And if there wasn't something I needed, Judy was there in no time to bring it to me. The village itself was easily accessible, as it was a 5 minute walk from the main strip into town. The people were very nice, the eatories were so yummy and the whole experience was truly what I needed. I would recommend The Nest for either a solo retreat (as is what I used it for) or a couple's getaway. Love & Light, JV

A Hidden Gem!

5 of 5
Set close to town on a quiet street, this apartment is very private yet close to everything. From the press coffee to plush bedding, charm and a great owner this is the place to stay. There are great eats, music and shopping in Woodstock!

Another Waterfall Getaway

5 of 5
This was my second time staying at the Waterfall Hideaway and it was like coming home to "my own Woodstock place." The upstairs apartment is loaded with light, updated with just the right details and great art and, oh, did I mention the sound of the waterfall? It's remarkable how you can be in downtown Woodstock and feel as though you're along a wooded stream staying at the Waterfall Hideaway. It's not real big but perfect for two adults. I brought my one small dog (fox terrier) with me the first time and she and her new male companion (shih-poo) during the most recent stay. We travel quite a bit, so, they acclimate easily and there was enough room for them in the apartment. The bedroom is small but lovely. They provide two really comfy robes to use after a shower or a soak in the deep, soaking tub in a well-appointed renovated bathroom. The eat-in kitchen is big and sunny with a back window looking out onto the waterfall. It's recently renovated as well with a bonus. They kept a big walk-in pantry/closet that I just love to store pet food, pantry items and recyclable bags. I feel very at home in this kitchen, for some reason. The living room has a flatscreen TV with cable and high speed internet; all of which is very easy to use with directions left there and in a house booklet. The small outdoor area with a table and two chairs is downstairs and outside overlooking the sweet waterfall. I was only able to enjoy this once on my recent visit due to chilly weather but it is a slice of heaven when the sun does its thing. It's a sweet, lovely find. I will always enjoy coming back to drop in for a visit.
