Perfect Place!

5 of 5
This house on the lake is comfortable, warm, and had everything we needed! I am from Lakewood and was coming back home for a visit with my partner over the holiday time. We were at the cottage for 2 weeks from late December '14 to early jan. 15. The house had everything we needed; there are three bedrooms: 1 large room with a closet and a queen bed, and two smaller bedrooms with one bed each. The couch is also able to fold down if you need it. The kitchen was well stocked and with character. Someone mentioned the mismatched cups... oh well! The kitchen is well setup, big, and also has a large refrigerator to keep any massive feasts in. There are plenty of towels and blankets, and some bits and pieces that people have left behind. The fireplace was great! No wood provided--- but easily picked up on the side of the road or at Home Depot or Wegmans. The location is amazing... it's right on the lake down a little dead end road. The place is an east 10 minute walk to Lakewood village, where you can find a coffee/book shop, a great diner, and a fancy restaurant. Jamestown is a 10-15 min drive away. The beach is just down the road as well if you're there for the 4th of July. Holiday Valley and Peak N Peek are also 45-60 min. away. Easy! The place was also really clean! Lisa was great to deal with, and I would definitely rent this place again!!!!!! Thanks for the great stay! -julianne

Lovely, Romantic Getaway

5 of 5
Our time on Lake Seneca was everything we wanted and more. This place was a fabulous little getaway in the woods, perfect for a romantic vacation for me and my fiance! The cottage is nestled at the bottom of a long hill and next to a small glen. The combination of days spent looking at the lake and nights spent listening to the water flowing down the glen were incredible--like the images and sounds they play at the spa, but in real life! From waking up and having coffee in the breakfast nook overlooking the lake, to reading or watching sunsets on the porch, I felt like I was truly able to relax. We spent most of our days on the dock and beach to soak up the sun (and to jump in the lake when things got too hot!). We also spent a lot of time exploring the vineyards nearby and trying out different restaurants. The cottage itself is older, but the place was clean and the furniture was comfortable, so its age only added to the charm. We cannot wait to go back!!!
