WE COULDN’T HAVE FOUND A BETTER PLACE!

5 of 5
As we walked up to the cottage, we noticed the beautiful, full foliage interspersed between the blue tipped spruce. Looking over the calm lake to the rolling hills of the Finger Lakes, there’s not a single wisp of cloud in the clear blue sky. The morning fog has lifted. The sunshine is warm on the deck and the birds are chirping. I knew I’d like this place! Great for a summer vacation or a fall getaway, this fully-furnished Finger Lakes boutique cottage is just a few minutes drive to nearby activities include restaurants, shops, farm markets, wineries, golfing, trails, ski resort, parks, marinas, boating, horseback riding, mini golf, hiking, art galleries, canoeing, kayaking, and craft markets, and my personal favorite, The New York Wine & Culinary Center overlooking historic Canandaigua Lake. The main cottage has a large living room, a master with comfy queen bed, a second bedroom with twin beds and lots of roomy space that’s great for those that like to have their own quiet time. Consider this home-away-from-home’s full-size kitchen with a peninsula facing the living room so you may cook and visit with your family and/or friends at the same time. Cooking and eating utensils are furnished, including a coffee maker, and microwave. There is also a TV with DVD player. When the sun begins to set, the cooling down can be enjoyed from the large screened-in front porch, or a few steps away to the “gin deck” where you’ll drink-up the fresh air or just enjoy the scenery. The open fire-pit is great for evenings outdoors spent roasting marshmallows under the stars. The water is clear and clean; ideal for boating, tubing, water skiing, wake boarding, and other water sports. The dock is great for swimming, sunning and playing. In warmer weather, fishing is exceptional— walleye, bass, perch and bluegill are bountiful. Flares are lit around the lakeshore, “The Ring of Fire” is a local tradition celebrated by area residents. Surrounded yourself with the breathtaking views of Honeoye Lake. This is a perfect place for getting away from it all, yet it is an ideal location. Life is good.

ADORABLE + CLEAN + MANY EXTRAS = PERFECT!

5 of 5
I cannot say enough about this place. Perfect size (it's actually a doublewide, but a REALLY NICE doublewide - even has a skylight)... The sheets were like silk, great water pressure (unexpected) and despite having just two window A/C units - those little buggers kept the whole place cool. There were condiments in the fridge, laundry detergent and softener (WHAT?!?) and numerous other touches - like a complimentary bottle of wine - waiting for us. The ONE drawback I didn't particularly like was that, because we were on the grounds of the 1000 Islands Winery and right next to their (very busy) gift shop/tasting room, there was (fairly loud) music that came out of an outdoor speaker starting at 8 a.m. most days. It wasn't completely audible from inside, but enough for the thumping bass of country/western music to wake me despite letting the air conditioner run on high all night to try to muffle it the next morning. Other than that ... VERY CLEAN and well maintained. Perfect for my sister, nephew (who loved the bunk beds) and I to stay in the days leading up to a family/wedding weekend in the area. I would definitely come back!

GREAT PLACE TO RELAX AND HAVE FUN

5 of 5
This was the perfect place for vacation. Relaxing by the water, swimming and fishing. We liked watching the wild life and just listening to the waves lapping against the shore while enjoying the view of the bay and river. John and Peggy are truly wonderful people and they treat you like family. We will definitely come back next year!
