Amazing family get away

5 of 5
The pictures do not do this house justice. The homeowners were amazing. Warm and welcoming. Felt like we were home. He even gave us a tour of the property. Upon walking in the front door we had a list of local events, sites to see, places to eat and things to do while in town and a very generous house warming. The house was beautifully maintained, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Everyone in this town is friendly and welcoming. You will not be disappointed when you book here. There are amazing hiking, biking, kayaking, wineries as well as the beautiful clean lake. This was a great family trip and we can’t wait to come back next year.

Adventure in the 1000 Islands

5 of 5
After dropping our boat in the water, we cruised out to to the comfortable cottage following Tara, the owner, in her boat. She was extremely helpful in directing our path around rocks. The approach to the cottage was magnificent! Tara showed us around the cottage and showed us where everything was located within the cottage. We had a wonderful time watching the boats and freighters move across the St. Lawrence Seaway each day from the front deck. The location was ideal for visiting the local towns and castles via boat or by driving from the mainland park. It was also quite peaceful and quiet in the cottage. My overall experience was great!

Adorable + Clean + Many Extras = PERFECT!

5 of 5
I cannot say enough about this place. Perfect size (it's actually a doublewide, but a REALLY NICE doublewide - even has a skylight)... The sheets were like silk, great water pressure (unexpected) and despite having just two window A/C units - those little buggers kept the whole place cool. There were condiments in the fridge, laundry detergent and softener (WHAT?!?) and numerous other touches - like a complimentary bottle of wine - waiting for us. The ONE drawback I didn't particularly like was that, because we were on the grounds of the 1000 Islands Winery and right next to their (very busy) gift shop/tasting room, there was (fairly loud) music that came out of an outdoor speaker starting at 8 a.m. most days. It wasn't completely audible from inside, but enough for the thumping bass of country/western music to wake me despite letting the air conditioner run on high all night to try to muffle it the next morning. Other than that ... VERY CLEAN and well maintained. Perfect for my sister, nephew (who loved the bunk beds) and I to stay in the days leading up to a family/wedding weekend in the area. I would definitely come back!
