My 14 year old son struck gold when we found Bill and his place!
The condo was clean, roomy and tastefully decorated with interesting books, artwork, and family treasures. Our room was large, the bed comfortable, and we had our own bathroom, TV, and wifi. We also had a great view of Central Park located only one block away. Lincoln Plaza and subway access were literally across the street.
Bill is what truly made our stay in NYC exceptional. He was a most gracious host and was there to greet us when we arrived. He often had a special something to snack on at the end of a busy day or a special NYC treat for my son. He helped us get acquainted with NYC by providing maps and directions on how to access NYC 's public transportation systems, suggestions on what to see and do, and lots of special insights to the city that only a native would know. Bill's pride and interest in his city are evident and he loves to share!
We packed ALOT into 4 days and of course went to many of the major attractions such as The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, The Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street, Times Square, a Yankees Game, bike riding in Central Park, a Broadway show, etc. Our favorite memories are of the "out of the way places" Bill directed us to such as little eateries in China Town where we ate the most delicious pork buns, barbecue, and dumplings. He also sent us to a special pastry shop in Little Italy to eat pastries. There were many other special places he directed us to also and hopefully you will experience those too!
We came to NYC a little hesitant about staying with a stranger and left with a new forever friend!
