For our first visit of NYC, and a celebration of our 32nd wedding anniversary, my wife and I wanted a stunning experience. Bill ensured we had exactly that and more.
Even before we arrived, Bill sent us extensive information about local attractions, what to see and experience, how best to use our limited time. Bill knows New York inside out and loves it. He listened to our needs and ensured we had ample data to make the best choices. Once we arrived, Bill welcomed us most warmly.
The location is perfect: across from the Lincoln Center, the heart of the city. It is impossible to be more central. Subway and all other transportation is instantly available. But we wanted to walk and walk we did. Every day Bill ensured we had the best routes, combined in the best ways, were able to arrive at desired destinations or stroll.
Hi knowledge of the city is encyclopedic, his enthusiasm infectious. He loves New York and needs to share his love. He knows the recommendation tools and how to use them. Several times he walked with us, regaling us with stories of the local architecture, history and his own story in the neighborhoods. He's a wonderful story-teller.
The building is beautiful, safe, with security and doormen, attentive and helpful. The apartment is a labor of love, filled with gorgeous objects and thousands of books. Bill invited us to use his kitchen and dining area as if it were ours, allowed us to use his computer and telephone. Our room was comfortable and large enough for two adults, our own bathroom had everything we could need. Bill took us to the roof from which we could see the whole of Manhattan and shared with us many stories.
New York City has now become one of our favorite cities in the world. We enjoyed the tourist attractions and had mainly excellent restaurant experiences. We saw a Broadway play and got a sense of how a New Yorker lives.
Bill and his gorgeous apartment made our enjoyment complete. It is impossible to recommend this place highly enough. Totally all-star in every respect! Thank you, Bill. We'll be back.
